Great Paint with Fast Delivery
Fast delivery and well-packed. The paint is easy to spread and lasts a long time, even with a small can. I used it to paint a clothes rack, and the colour is beautiful. It has no smell and dries quickly. One drawback is that the product page mentioned a brush was included, but it was not.

Non-crafty person says, "Go for it"
I'm really happy with it, and the color which seems like a light duck egg, and is as cheerful as I needed, but not "garish" as some have suggested. The shabby chic trend allows for human imperfection. I painted over dark, too-serious kitchen cabinets, without removing any doors or drawers. 1) I cleaned all areas to be painted with alcohol & used a kitchen knife to remove gloppy areas of food in crevices. 2) Ran masking tape along the interior tops and sides of drawers, and horizontal surfaces of cabinet bottoms, so only applying paint to door and drawer front pieces of wood, as the factory would have. Also, taped hinges and to shield along the sides of appliances. 3) Set a small jar of water, a 1.5" brush (LG Harris 13190 Platinum Brush Set (Pack of 5) i a deal) and rag on a piece of cardboard, and scooted it along floor as yI moved from cabinet to cabinet.(I had oppressive upper cabinets removed.) 4) Using the paint tin lid as a palette, dipped just a tip of the brush into the water to thin the paint, as needed. 5). Painted cabinet face fronts, then small, routed, grooved areas, then side stiles of doors, ending with large, flat drawer fronts and center panels. 6) Painted with the grain of the wood in each section, use a dab of the water to feather and smooth in between areas and to reduce brush marks. Also, I used the water to make a last, top stroke in each section, from one end to the other without breaking it, as the instructions suggested. This proved essential as after applying the Polyvine Dead Flat Varnish others suggested, some of the dried chalk paint was removed by the water-based varnish, and the dark wood became "ghostly" visible. 7) For this reason, i suggest using four coats over dark wood if you want a solid, and not "antiqued" look. 8) I used alcohol to wipe clean lines across the toe kicks and left them the original wood to give the cabinets a floating, custom appearance and eliminate wear and tear on the paint from kicking. I do expect I will have to touch up over time in a hard-working kitchen, but am very pleased overall with the easy application and affordability and result. Will update with photos after knobs and upper cabinets (old glass doors on a few new boxes) are installed.

This is good stuff! Have to be careful applying it because it is very thick and any marks show. Having said that I have painted two dining chairs and only used half of a large pot, so its good value. It is a very light duck egg colour, which is what I wanted, but if you're after a darker shade you might be disappointed. Can't wait to start painting some more!

Pale but pretty!
The color is very beautiful, but very pale. Looks almost white with a hint.It might just need a few extra layers.I love duck egg color and would like it to look a little more like the expected color. - I used it on painted wood. Maybe its different on an other material.Still very happy with the product and the chalky finish!Easy to use and covers pretty nice.In case it was to pale I also got a darker version. If I mix them I might get the right color...

Pretty paint
I bought this to paint a miniature chest of drawers duck egg blue (see photo). Before it was ginger-colour knotty pine. I cleaned the wood with white spirit, sanded it lightly and used the paint directly on to the wood as instructed. This paint is different from normal paint, being chalky and thickish to apply.Transformation - though I think it might have looked even better had I used a white primer first. I used a satin sheen varnish on top to seal it, which did alter the colour a little, giving a slight greenish tinge. Probably the Rustoleum wax performs better, but I grudged spending the money for such a small project. This gives an attractive finish, and is equally good for a favourite project and a quick fix, say brightening up furniture in rented accommodation.
