Bose ® 251 Environmental Speakers - Black

Well they are Bose so never disappointed!! Fixing and mount adjustment was easy. Bass response is better than expected for an outdoor environment but wasn’t overpowering. Definitely better than the 151 model for bass response but as always very clear sound.

Bose...nothing more to say..i have had these in my garden for a number of yrs.rain,snow,wind.and still going strong.the sound is clear and the bass is perfect.infract i am going to purchase another set.would highly recommend..you will not regret buying them...and no.....i am not sponsored by bose. lol.

Love love love!!! They are amazing no matter what the volume- the clarity is fantastic outside. I do prefer them on a table or floor than wall mounted.

I put off buying these for a year or so due to the images I found online of the units with the grills removed. From then on I thought the only drivers in these were 2 tiny Bose twiddler drivers (look them up). It was only after seeing a cross section of one at a Bose store that I realised there was infact a far meatier woofer concealed inside an acoustic chamber within the unit! As the twiddlers were the only things putting me off, I pounced on the computer to get myself a few pairs! I have all 3 pairs mounted around my garden (on trees/in bushes) and I have never been happier to go and sit on the lawn and relax! The Bose bashers will go on about 'no highs, no lows' but at the end of the day, they give out a really enjoyable sound that I myself have been looking for for the last few years! We are quite close to the sea so anything outdoors never tends to last very long but these have been rust free ever since I bought them. One last thing, the other tuesday I had a garden party and was considering renting a pa system; out of intrest I cranked these up and was suprised to find they could handle it! £160 saved in rental costs!Even i you're not looking to get multiple pairs like me, these are totally worth getting just as a stereo pair, you have my word!

Great sounding speaker and stands up to outdoor use. This was replacing another Bose outdoor setup I had for 15 years - and still going strong so I know Bose make these things to last.One drawback - there is no security bolts on these or way to secure them. So there is a risk depending on where mounted they are open to theft.

Had these speakers for about five years sound is terrific but if you are near the sea and salt air then the plastic caps at the back and the cable connectors rot and crumble. Best answer and too late for at least one of my speakers was to cover the connections with Vaseline and reapply occasionally. That said I have bought them again as sound quality excellent!

Bought these 1 year ago and having just tried them of first day of sunshine sound has turned fuzzy. Tested cabling, amp and speakers separately so definitely speakers. Installed in the proscribed way but now sound is unlistenable. Never mind I thought, they have a 5 year warranty but when I went I Bose website and entered serial number I was told the product was out of warranty but I could pay £79 to have them fixed! Plan to call Bose tomorrow but can only imagine they’ve been sitting in amazon warehouse for 4 years +...terrible
