Perfect for chopping boards!
I use this product for my bamboo chopping boards. You have to be patient though, step one: Apply the oil thinly (!) using a lint free cloth, and leave for 45 minutes to be absorbed. Step two: take off the excess oil with another cloth. Repeat steps one and two on the rear of your chopping board. Do not use the board yet, but repeat the process after 24 hours and then again after another 24 hours. After 4 days you'll have a bamboo chopping board that'll last you a lifetime (unless you would put it in a dishwasher which is a definate no no, of course). It's now coated with a matt, tough film that stops the board from absorbing moisture.As I said just be patient, it pays off, since tung oil is one of the few oils that "hardens"!

Does exactly what is says on the tin!
Quick delivery, was advised to buy this oil for a new coffee table I had just bought and wanted to protect. Works a treat and table looking good

Great stuff, easy to apply!!
Used for an oak bathroom worktop to waterproof it. Very easy to apply with a cloth and gives a lovely matt finish. It takes a few days to dry fully but it is worth it for the finish, you do need about 4 coats to ensure it is waterproof, then re-apply an additional coat annually.

Rubbed into wood in bathroom and it seems to have made it waterproof. I'll do it again in a couple of weeks. I've also used it on my bamboo chopping board and that's come up a treat.

Truly beautiful stuff
Spent a while looking at a suitable finish for my homemade scaffold board desk/bench and settled on Tung oil after reading the favourable reviews on Amazon and elsewhere. Granted, it's application can be a little long winded, waiting 24 hours between coats, diluting it with white spirit, rubbing down with wirewool, etc. but the results are well worth the extra work, even for someone as impatient as I am. Having never worked with wood before I didn't really understand the comments about it bringing the grain out, but I do now. It leaves such a beautiful finish that my £21 bench top looks a million dollars.

The product is very good and easy to work with. What I had ordered was flat finish and this is at least between satin and semi gloss shine.
