Garden Games Childrens Heavy Duty Green Wavy Slide 3 Metres Long for 1.5 Metre High Climbing Frame or Tree House Platform

This is a great slide, it is very fast, with very little friction. Very large, was quite impressive when it was delivered. Bought for my 2 year old, but I'd say that at the moment it's too fast for her. The middle bulge of the slide sends her slightly off balance, but I have no doubt that practice is all that's needed. It'll be future proof and very glad that I bought this and not the smaller one. It's light enough to be installed by one person but strong enough for me to test, weighing in at 11.5 stone, well how else was I to get down?The slide is attached using 2 screws via the two pre-holes at the top of the slide. At first I was weary of this, it seemed lacking, but the slide doesn't move. Screws are not included, you'll want 2 washers also.I've installed it on to a platform 150cm high although it could be mounted lower but perhaps not by much.There is of course a 'drop' at the bottom of the slide, rather than sliding straight on to and along the ground. With the speed of this slide it would be difficult for young children to get sure footing at dismount, I will need to put a beanbag at the bottom or fashion something to extend the slide or soften the fall else it could be a painful landing. An older more experienced child (or adult) will be fine.There is a connection on the top underside of the slide allowing a hose to be attached. You'll need to drill through the slide to allow the water to flow through, but as yet I haven't done so. It won't be a difficult job to do as and when we decide to do this, just drill up through the guide and sand it. I'd probably use a small bit to go from underside then use a large bit down from the top using the small hole as a guide so that the burrs are on the underside.So, would I buy again? Yes, absolutely. It's very sturdy and very fast. We're having to catch our little one 3/4 of the way down at the moment else she'll end up next door. I looked at other slides, but at this price, I believe it's a fantastic product.I've put up pictures for a look in situ, please note that that these are of my project yet unfinished, walls aren't completed but there are no steps up there for her to climb up onto it. When she's been down it I have been on the platform with her.

Really good build and smooth slide. Also slide has option to be turned into water slide but you need to drill whole for that. So that is bonus that if you want to use as a normal slide there is no hole in slide until needed.

This slide arrived promptly and was erected the next day very easily, The quality is excellent and our four grandchildren, 7,6,5,3 years old love it attached to their pirate ship tree house. A winner all round happy kids, happy grandparents 👍

Super sturdy and scratch-free slide with super 10 stone weight capacity so you can feel confident about a couple of kids going on it at a time, which is inevitable isn't it?! Only given 4 stars as it's pretty static-shocky, but we've solved this by placing a fleece/felt mat at the bottom of the slide so if they land their feet on the mat rather than the ground they'll not get shocked.

Very pleased with this purchase!Half the price of what seems to be the leading brand and honestly can’t see any difference between that and this.It’s build quality is great and my kids love it!It has good lips in the edges which ensure the kids are low enough in the slide to be secure, and the wave adds a great addition of fun.It secures well to the climbing frame, although this would depend on the build of your frame.I found that coach bolts rather than screws (as recommended) provided a much better fixing at the top. As a personal choice I also found having a base for this to sit in and secure to really made this thing solidly secured as my kids were instantly climbing up as well as heading down - being secure at the bottom stops any movement.Only warning - when set at the max 1.5m height it is fast as others have said, very little friction so they fly down. This can be slowed down by setting the height lower, however again my kids love it and I’m fine with the speed.Great product highly recommended.

Bought this after seeing it in a playground - it is fast, so you may want to consider a cushion for the drop off the end until younger/smaller kids figure out getting their feet down to land as the first toddler I saw flying down it landed heavily on their back on the ground and bumped their head off the end of the slide for good measure!The description seems very determined that the platform must be 1.5m high (possibly due to increased pressures from other angles) but it's working very well for me at 1.22m.The instructions on the slide state max weight 70kg (it's a little bit of a squeeze for the width of my adult hips anyway!) and those instructions are also clear on how to drill the attached tube and attach a hose for use as a water slide and on fixing to a platform.I think it's a little overpriced at just into three figures but it's a decent bit of kit and should get many years use out of it.

Bought this for my DIY Pirate ship for grandchildren aged 2 & 2 1/2. Perfect, very solid and the kids love it. Easy to fit (actual fitting much wider than slide width) . You will enjoy the static electricity shocks when you catch them at the bottom of the slide 😂😂
