Sellita SW200 powered Invicta
I picked this up on Amazon Global and it came from America for the princely sum of £235 including import fees, today some 4 months later it's for sale for a little over £400. This is a great watch IF you get a good one, the Swiss movement made by Sellita is essentially an ETA 2824 and both these movements are found in watches five figure price tags. I actually have two of these one is over fifteen years old, has been serviced a couple of times and gains about 1 second per day and the newer one which gains 3 to 5 seconds per day. The bracelet is the same on both (there are some very slight differences to the clasp) and it's stood the test of time very well. The watch is well made and nicely finished with my two criticisms being rubbish lume and a stiff bezel (on the newer one) I awarded the value for money stars based on the price I paid, at £400+ I think that you're getting close to some better brands, but the 99370B remains a solid prospect if you don't need low light visibility. Perhaps if Invicta sorted the lume, added a sapphire crystal and ceramic bezel it would seem a more competitive, but that said there are many watches at this price point that have a rattly Miyota or a NH35A, at least here you're getting an excellent quality high beat 28,800 bph (8 ticks per second) the Sellita SW200 is a clone of the ETA 2824 originally made under licence although I believe any patents would have expired by now.

Best in its class
The other reviews here seem to cover everything. I would add that having had the watch a few days I have noticed that the build quality is not so refined. The band and watch are hard edged, not champfered for comfort. It's not uncomfortable to wear its just an observation. The watch is a good weight but it's easy to get used to and wears quite well. It's advertised at RRP $1000 but Icant see that value. Retailing between $400 -$500 is the right price range. To get away from a battery op watch feels good. The market place for mech watches is limiting in that the value range is vast but the choices in each price range is limiting. Having looked at the best watches in each price bracket I found the Invicta 9937ob to be head and shoulders above the competition. I own other watches Seiko and Swiss made watches all in higher price bands than the Invicta. While they feel better watches to the touch, the Invicta looks as good and performs as good as any of them. It's easy to read dial, clean looks and having a similar appearance to Rolex does give it the edge over the others. If the watch is the style you want, don't go more expensive and don't go for the cheap battery option, you will be sorry.Definately recommended, you won't get a better watch in this price band.

and as a mid prices watch I love it. Even with older age vision I can ...
Hi Bought this after a lot of research as a 60th Birthday present to myself, and as a mid prices watch I love it. Even with older age vision I can see the watch face movements. At present its keeping great time, and I'm completely happy but if you want perfect time all the time then look at the sunlight watches which are also radio controlled. The Stainless Steel strap and case looks perfect no sharp edges, totally smooth and well milled. Now that I've bought the more expensive one I would be interested to put it against the similar looking watches with the Japanese movement to compare there build quality and finish, as they are a little less than a third of the price. Still I'm really happy with mine and would recommend the watch to anyone. Good luck with your decision on the choice of your new watch.

Nice watch
Pros- Nice looks (Rolex submariner)- Quality braceletCons- Runs to slow (1-2 minutes per day)- Crown operation a bit flimsyWhen the watch arrived my first impression was that it was too small and looked a bit cheap or should I say "simple". But after a while I've become really fond of this watch. The simple design is actually just the way the Rolex submariner looks and I think the quality is better than I first thought. In the morning I choose between this watch and my two other metal bracelet-watches, the Omega Seamaster and the Breitling Superocean. The bracelet is almost as good as the two others and looks and feels great. The only real downside to the Invicta is that it runs slow by 1-2 minutes per day which is really not ok. I don't feel like bothering to send it to Invicta though, so I'll just live with it. (Being an automatic it has to be adjusted often anyways when it has been stationary for two days.) Overall it is a lot of watch for the money, where the higher price compared to the 8926 is motivated by the superior bracelet.

A great entry level divers watch
I was surprised at the quality of this piece when it arrived. Stainless steel bracelet with brushed and polished effect really stands out. Sweeping second hand is smooth and is hacking when the crown is out which is nice. Bezel is a little stiff on rotating when compared to say a Steinhart or even a Seiko but has got better over time. The only minor bad point is that the lume of the dial is ok, but nowhere near as bright as others. Saying that the overall look and feel of the 9937OB is great. A real 'homage' to the well known brand this watch is emulating. Keeps time well and will for sure be a watch I'll wear over and over again.
