Q: If I used this over blue chalk paint would it make the colour darker or would it discolour it/make patchy?

It would make it darker. to seal chalk paint you need a clear wax. I used the dark wax to stain the sanded down top of a unit as has painted it all dark blue but left the top natural. You can always use dark wax to make it look distressed in the odd place. I wouldn't personally like to use dark wax all over. Hope that helps.

Q: Is this product low odour / VOC’s ?

The product is made from a mixture of natural waxes & has an odour like boot polish/dubbing/crayon but is not overpowering. If you are sensitive to fragrances or odours I would suggest wearing a dust mask. I hope this has helped 😊

This has dark wax finish. You don’t say what type of paint you’ve used.
