Tissot T17152652 Gents Watch PRC 200 Chronograph Quartz

I bought my first Tissot watch in 1974 in Switzerland, Model PR-516, which has a mechanical movement. I think it cost about Stg.40. Until a few years ago I wore this watch constantly and it never gave a hint of a problem. I decided to give it it a well-earned rest and put it into semi-retirement - bringing it out to give it an airing occasionally. I decided to treat myself to a new watch and being a creature of habit I opted once again for Tissot, this time I picked the Black Dial Chrono, Model PRC 200. I must say the delivery time was excellent. As soon as I saw the presentation case, even before I saw the watch, I knew I had made the right decision. The case on its own exudes quality - the total package just gives the feeling that a lot of thought went into the product and the watch has the quality and appearance that I had hoped for when I picked it. The strap is quite novel, it is a combination of a steel clasp and leather strap and I find it very easy to use. To sum up I am very happy with my choice and purchase and I have no hesitation recommending this watch.

I purchased this watch last week and received it with it's full packaging except for 2 crucial things.1 the official tissot warranty card.2 the user manual.I collect watches and was seduced by this watch's low price through AMAZON MARKETPLACE,which after doing a bit of research realised that this is a grey market for such watches.TISSOT ONLY PROVIDE THEIR 2 YEAR WARRANTY FOR WATCHES PURCHASED THROUGH AUTHORISED DEALERSHIPS.there are many watch forums with excellent tutorials about this watch as it is one of the most copied watches there is.there is a difference between a fake watch and a replica watch as a replica is made up from genuine parts and movements but is not assembled in switzerland but elsewhere in the world.It is also important to study the quality of the packaging and look for varying discrepancies,there is a book on the history of tissot watches provided in the packaging,the print quality will be excellent on a genuine book,mine was a very good photocopy as the pictures lacked the detail of the genuine book.this may seem like an unimportant detail,but is crucial in determining the watch being authentic.I must also be clear that i took the watch to a tissot dealer who could'nt say for certain whether the watch was genuine or not,they said it looked like the real thing,but as it was purchased from an UNAUTHORISED DEALER,then tissot would accept NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE WARRANTY.that was the clincher for me.I returned the watch to the seller who could'nt have been more helpful,they issued me A FULL REFUND PLUS A GOODWILL PAYMENT WHICH COVERED THE POSTAGE,ALL IN ALL EXCELLENT SERVICE.The bottom line is if you want this watch at a discounted price then by all means buy it,but remember there is no guarantee that the watch is genuine and it will have NO WARRANTY FROM TISSOT.i checked tissot's website for AUTHORISED DEALERS IN THE UK,and spent an extra £50 on this watch,and i think that's worth it as i know for sure that it's the real deal and it's warranty is with tissot.ADDED POST SCRIPT TO THIS REVIEW.I SEE ANOTHER PERSON HAS DOUBTS OVER THESE WATCHES AUTHENTICITY,PERHAPS IT'S TIME FOR AMAZON TO TAKE ACTION AND PREVENT CUSTOMERS FROM BUYING A REPLICA OR FAKE WATCH.

I was looking for the "Obama" watch for a family member for Christmas so I entered the model number into Amazon search and just one result was returned. This watch is visually very similar (no doubt the reason why it has been linked) and in my rush to buy before Christmas I completely missed the obvious -this is the wrong watch.For the record this is a well made beautifully designed watch and I did toy with the idea of keeping it myself but ultimately decided to return it as I have several already.In short if you are looking for a stylish, impressive wrist watch then I think this fits the bill, if you are looking for the "Obama" watch keep looking..

This is a top quality watch as you would expect from a famous Swiss Watch brand such as Tissot. The design is great as you can see from the pictures and the sapphire glass finish means the face is scratch resistant. Although this has a leather strap, it isn’t like the more traditional leather straps but like the bracelet kind. I therefore purchased a regular Tissot strap online and had that fitted to the watch instead. This watch is great value at this price!

I had this watch for 2 years, after 1 year it started losing time, Tissot said it was the battery and they replaced it, after 4 months it started losing time again, it lossed about 5 minutes every 3 days. I had seiko and citizen watches for years and i never had these types of problems. Also the strap falls off about one a month. It looks good and at first it looks like a quality product, but long terms it isnt.
