If you have sensitive skin and thick stubble, this is for you. Most of you will be asking,"what's the point of this stuff?" The main problem with facial hair is blade glide, pulling a strip of sharp steel across the face is problematic at the best of times, however, after climbing out of the shower with the face all wet helps, but the effect wears off fast as it dries, this cream slows this process down, by applying this to the shave area it softens the hair and keeps it moisturized longer enabling the blade to glide through the stubborn stubble. When rubbed into the skin it tingles a little, left for a minute or so, then brush on your favourite cream or soap and go to work on your routine. Made in Italy, where men will not be seen dead without a decent shave and haircut, the after effect is a smooth face that lasts about 10 hours, until the next day, no razor burn or discomfort is noticed, I have used this with an adjustable Merkur futur and a Sainsburys DE blade, shaving cream is DR Harris Arlington, or Palmolive sensitive. I like to be clean shaven and for a long time used an electric razor. About a year ago I switched to wet shaving with a safety razor, which I absolutely love. Feels so close and fresh, I’ve not looked back to electric shaving. However I have been having some sensitivity issues on my skin from the safety razors I use. I’ve tried lots of different products and the closet thing I found that helped was TOBS sandalwood pre shave oil. The downside with this was that it clogged up my brush and left my sink in a bit of a mess. It also wasn’t perfect, but did a good job. Then I tried this Proraso pre shave cream and my shave was perfect. No irritation or nicks. I’m usually left with a bit of a rash on one side of my face, none of that after my shave today using proraso pre shave cream. I highly recommend this product, especially to anyone with sensitive skin. And for the price, it’s very good value for money.

I've suffered for years with razor burn, tried countless products to eliminate it, costing hundreds of pounds. Thought this product was another so called ultimate answer. Didn't hold out to much hope. How wrong I was, been using now for over 3 months I think, and not one hint of razor burn, apply 5 to 10 minutes before shaving, wash it off and apply shaving cream/gel. It's simply the best. Smooth shave, no razor burn and uncomfortable itching. I'll definitely be buying more from now on. Highly recommended.
