Purchased this as a gift item to add to a beginner sewing necessities collection. Was so happy they were packaged flat and not compressed for shipping. The variety a prints were generous. Perfect 12" x 12" squares for small projects and the quality was an unexpected surprise!

I have been quilting and sewing for at least 58 years. I have extensive fiber and fabric knowledge and experience. Over the years, I have seen and used some of the best quilt cottons made in the world. Unfortunately I have also seen and used some of the worst (which can ultimately negate an entire project, if not immediately then somewhere down the road). I believe the vast majority of quilting cottons are somewhere on the continuum between the two.I purchased this primarily because I read a review elsewhere that rates it very highly. I wanted to see if the quality was anything I would trust to last.I am happy to say this is excellent quality. I rate it very highly. The hand is as high quality as some of the best brand names and the color dyes are equally good quality.I have not laundered any of it yet, as that is for a finished project (my technique, others may vary). But I can definitely say I am unworried about washing and drying it. I want shrinkage in my finished work. This feels like it will be perfect.I will certainly order it again. I would definitely recommend these squares.

I bought these for making masks and I'm quite happy with the variety of patterns. Because the masks will need to be washed in hot water ,I pre-shrunk three of the squares that I'll be using first and also dried them on a regular hot cycle. I lost about 1/2 inch in one direction and 1 inch in the other. Given that this is 100% cotton I was expecting shrinkage, so this doesn't really bother me. I stay stitched the edges so I cannot tell how much these otherwise would have frayed. The squares came out of the laundry quite a bit softer, so there must have been a good bit of sizing. They are definitely soft enough to go against the face. The fabric is really quite thin., and three layers of fabric might be better than two for virus protection purposes. Overall, I would have preferred something with a bit more thickness/body after washing, but for the price it's nice to have a lot of different prints. So when I use these up I might re-order. But I'm not a fast sewer and these will last me a while.

These beautiful pre-cut squares save you a lot of time and energy if you don't mind buying color patterns that you did not choose yourself. I am using them for quilt-making and for making pot holders. They are wonderful.

For what I'm doing, most of these pieces are fine. What I have found, after prewashing them all, is that they are super inconsistent in how they feel and how much each piece shrunk. About a third were high-quality and didn't shrink much and another third lost 2cm at least and wanted to shred in the washer. The prints are (mostly) cute and usable although there was no consistency in color palatte. If you are making a patch quilt or using the small pieces for masks or doll clothes, this is totally fine.
