Very comfortable on the eyes. Easy to read. Feels good to the touch.

The goatskin leather on this bible does feel spongy and it's stiffer than even some leathersoft bibles I have. The paper is thin and has some decent opacity. The pages were still stuck together when the bible arrived.The gilding is nice but there's a significant scuff mark as shown in the picture. I got this at a big discount so I can let those issues pass.The font is nice and crisp although I would have liked a more rounded font better. The red accents for the page headers as well as the book chapters and verses are nice.Overall, it's a good bible for the price I bought it, but if you're paying for the full price, it's not worth it.

I thought that I’d post a short review since this is a relatively new Bible.Overall, I’d say that the Bible is just okay. It’s not the worst premium Bible that I’ve had, but it certainly leaves much to be desired. When the Bible arrived, I immediately noticed that glue had spilled out of the head and tail bands and had dried on the art gilting. It’s not too big of a deal as it easily came off, but for a premium Bible, one would expect better. I also noticed that the ribbons aren’t placed correctly, or evenly. One overlaps the other. I can correct this issue myself so it’s not a huge deal to me, but I’d expect better for the price.The paper quality and the goatskin quality are what you’d expect from a Chinese print Bible. The paper (I believe) is 36gsm, but it has a rough, cheap feel to it. There is some ghosting, some small ink stains on the paper, and some pages are printed darker than others. The red letter is not as dark as it could be, making it hard to see at times. The goatskin feels soft and spongey.Overall, this is a decent Bible, but if you're wanting something that's really high quality, I'd look elsewhere.

The paper is not smooth, the goat skin does feel spongy. Also the inside liner is incredibly stiff. Maybe it will soften in time, but the genuine leather inner lining I bought was more flexible than this. Holman, I know you can do better than this. The layout of the text is one of my favorite Holman layouts.

Super stiff, awesome book but if you’re concerned about quantity of leather I don’t recommend.
