Fits well as a replacement. No problems. Looks good.
Fit very well as a replacement for an 18 year old vent that was deteriored. This particular vent doesn't look like it the plastic is as thick as the one it replaced. It may not last as long, but it certainly fit and works fine. No problems at all.

Keeps out large pets, but the smaller ones get through
I bought this hood vent to replace the one from my dehumidifier that lost a couple of its flaps. I figured this would be better having a solid housing instead of 3 flaps that can move in the wind and let the elements in. It was most definitely an improvement. As you can see in the 1 picture, the plastic bars will keep out the larger rodents and birds, but I also needed to keep out stink bugs and other pests. To do this I bought a vent grill that you can slightly make out in the underside picture. Together they are great so far.The only issue I have is the softness of the plastic. When it arrived the plastic bars underneath were warped a bit (you can see in the underside picture) and I had to manually bend them back into place to fit the housing. I was afraid I was going to break the plastic while doing this as the plastic turned white almost as soon as I applied pressure. That and attaching the hood vent to the housing was not a perfectly secure fit either due to the warping.It is this soft plastic and need to flatten out the plastic that I gave it 4 stars. Otherwise this product is superb.

How is this Product on the Market Still
The tabs to hold it are tiny and brittle. The plastic for the door has stress marks. 20 dollars can get you something far better than this. Go to home store and inspect the piece before buying this. One reason online shopping stinks. Its not worth my time to send back.

Looks good
Looks great when up. It is plastic and will require you to chaulk around. My location is in the shade so it will not crack of yellow. It looks very modern.

Technically works
Works okay, but the closing flap is a joke. Remove it, and buy a proper back draft stopper.
