I absolutely disliked these. I never got them all out of the box. The balance is horrendous. I guess there are people who think that it has to be heavy to be good. That's who these are made for. The handle probably had enough extra steel to make 2 or 3 more knives, if not 5. It's like when your less intelligent worker replaces a hammer handle with a steel pipe. All of the weight is in the wrong place and the tool is far less effective. These may be good if you want to pummel someone with the pommel, but that is the extent of their usefulness. It's a shame. I like the blades. They were pretty and wonderfly sharp. They'd probably do really well matted to an appropriate handle. Unfortunately, someone put mudding tires on a porsche.

This is the most heavy-duty knife set you will ever wield. Blades are beautiful and cut through absolutely anything effortlessly. The handles have a really nice feel to them and the blade tang runs all the way through the handle. A wonderful knife set that will absolutely replace every single knife in your kitchen.
