The progesterone used in Progestelle is the same progesterone that is sold by compounding pharmacists in the USA. The progesterone is bought from the same supplier that supplies compounding pharmacists. The way progesterone is made is that the starting material is either from yams or soy. In the case of yams, the diosgenin is extracted from the yam and chemically synthesized to progesterone in the "Marker Degradation". In the case of soy, stigmasterol is extracted from the soy and then synthesized into progesterone.
