Great sequel
I loved this book as much as the first one. The author’s wit is still forefront, and the sarcasm and satire are firmly in place. As usual, I couldn’t figure out who the murderer was, but in my book, that’s the mark of a good mystery.

This breezy, funny read goes down easy
-GenreHumorous cozy mystery-Opening Lines“Under my lederhosen, I'm anatomically correct,” said the squirrel, and then he felt me up.Alas, I wasn't dreaming. I was on the set of The Mr. Snicklefritz Show, and the beloved puppet Squirrelly-Joe was putting the moves on me. For the umpteenth time in two days, I wondered why I was there.Oh yeah, money.-My descriptionIn desperate need of an infusion of cash, PR professional Jill Cooksey spends her vacation freelancing for a children’s television show celebrating it’s 30th anniversary. The beloved puppets and characters she remembers from her childhood are not quite what she expected. When a date with one of the puppeteers goes wrong (he brought the puppet…), Jill isn’t sure things could be worse. Then the puppeteer is found dead. With the help of the PR Posse and her PA (Production Assistant) Pen friends, Jill is determined to solve the murder and save the show. How it made you feelLike I was backstage/on the set of a children’s television show. Please tell me that they are half this funny!-Favorite partThe humor!-One-word descriptionPuppets!-Would you recommend? This breezy, funny read goes down easy. I love how St. James uses the city of New York but still creates a cozy feel. I can’t wait to go back and read book 1 and I hope St. James is already working on book 3. The PR Posse is fun, and Jill’s mom is a hoot. This reminded me a little of Diane Vallere’s Mad for Mod mystery series with a younger vibe. Fans of Dial A for Aunties by Jesse Sutanto may want to give this series a try (although it is SLIGHTLY less over the top).

Great whimsical mystery
This is a fun, whimsical mystery in the spirit of an Agatha Christie. I really got caught up in the characters involved. This is the second in the series, and I already can’t wait to see what happens to the Jill and her PR posse in the next book.

Puppets can be murder!
What a wonderful and fun cozy! Full of humor, tender moments, lots of heart. It opens up a whole new world of PR and children's show production, puppets, actors, stage hands. Can Jill and her posse (old and new) find a killer in time to save a classic children's show? It's Jill's dream come true to be a part of this classic, but seeing her childhood idols now thru a different lens has her shaking her head.A fun read!

Hilarious and Heart-warming Cozy!
I requested an ARC in exchange for an honest review, and I'm so glad I did. Even though I don't usually like puppets or puppet-based TV, I adored Jill and all her friends! This is a great mystery for anyone interested in cozies, PR, TV, or life in NYC (a fun twist on the usual small-town cozy setting). If you're thinking about it, go for it! It's a fun read and Jill may become your new favorite sleuth! :)

Humor. Murder. Girl Power. Love it.
Jill Cooksey is in a severe financial dilemma...like she has to decide what bills aren't getting paid type of dilemma. Add to that a disappearing ex? boyfriend and a no longer feasible trip to Bali ... and she's just peachy. When Kate, friend and member of the PR Posse, throws Jill a lifeline she grabs tight. So instead of heading off on a two-week vacation to Bali, Jill finds herself instead......entering the world of Mr. Snicklefritz..a children's TV show. What a different world it is. Faced with high school antics and egos that could rival the best in Hollywood, Jill has to constantly remind herself...it's only two weeks ... it's only two weeks.Little does she know that in those two weeks she would be thrown into another murder mystery, one she can't help but get swept up in. Can she solve the crime and save the show while also preventing another murder?OK I absolutely love this author's sense of humor. Case in point: "Then everything is not fine. Don't pee down my back and tell me it's raining!" 🤣🤣🤣 I laughed so much throughout this book and it was a perfect cozy Sunday. I can't wait to see what mayhem Jill and her PR Posse get into next.I sincerely appreciate the publisher for providing me with a review copy. All opinions expressed herein are mine and mine alone.

Enjoyable and fun read!
I’m new to Cozy Mysteries, but this novel made me laugh out loud and read quickly for all of the plot twists! You’ll love the main character and her unique group of friends. I loved the first novel in St. James’ series, and this second book did not disappoint— now I cannot wait for the third!

Disappointed
I really enjoyed the first book but I'm in the middle of this one and in my opinion it's weird and boring 😴
