Q: What is the country of origin? I'm wondering about the heavy metal content, especially if this comes from China. Thanks!

According to the manufacturer's information initiated by one end user's phone call inquiry for the similar concern, this tea's heavy metal content, pesticide, or other sanitation index, by sampling test conducted by one of Chinese independent labs, all test items meet or exceed Chinese FDA's health standard. This tea also exported to Japan, Malaysia,Germany, Austria, Italy, East European countries etc. The heavy metal content and chemical residues were all passed those country's FDA's test standard. Among those countries, Japan FDA is the one most strict regarding to those health sensitive index, and this tea passed Japanese lab's test as well. This tea were examined by US FDA more than 10 times, and each time to be passed. Wish above information would be help. This is Importer. According to the manufacturer, the string connecting to the tea bags is sealed without glue. it is by machine and heat. However, the string attach to the other terminal with small trade mark labeling piece do use glue to seal. By common sense, that part of the string will not be sink into hot water, so it won't affect the quality of the tea. Any further concern, please call 510-444-0936
