Itty bitty combi lock, It Does The Job
Smaller than I was expecting, which is silly really because it says 40mm right there in the title. It's a squire so the quality is decent, I'm sure it's easy to bypass but it does have a solid "feel" or appearence which I suppose is half the battle a lot of the time. Wheels feel clicky and responsive, but being quite small and with the reset process being quite fiddly, it's easy to get "stuck" in place or jam up the combination at times. The lock/release button can also be fiddly. But for a small task like a loose change box or a toolbox - sure, go for it. Just don't use it to lock up your shed or anything important!

Maybe tough inside but very flimsy outside shell
Within maybe five minutes of opening the package and opening the padlock a few times, the outer plastic shell simply came loose as two parts. Hard to tell if it was simply glued but now it doesn’t clip closed, so the padlock is useless. Flimsy outer shell totally rubbishes an otherwise sturdy padlock inner, a real shame and poor quality overall.Annoying as I needed urgently, now I need to source another padlock.

Worst lock I have ever used
Failed to work within the first month. I had to cut the lock off from my plastic shed. Don’t waste your money. This lock will fail sooner or later.

Not as tough as they say...
Bought to secure gym and swimming pool lockers. It’s a good fit and looks secure compared to the cheap looking ones most other folk use. Bought Dec 2021 for gym locker and used several times a week up to May. Then started using it at pool lockers which again it worked well for... until one day it slipped from my hand and fell to the floor. From about waist height. This one drop alone was enough to break something internally and now the opening spring no longer works meaning opening the lock needs a button press while yanking open. Previously you pressed the button and it sprang open. It does still feel secure when locked, but now I’m always left wondering if it will ever open again... Bit disappointed to be honest as it’s not a cheap lock. Also the entire body is wrapped in plastic. Personally wouldn’t re-purchase. Another locker at the pool is secured with a hefty looking Abus brass bodied combi lock which I nearly bought myself and now have lock envy over... which is ridiculous, but there you go...

Lasted few months before wheel corrosion started
*** UPDATED AFTER LESS THAN THREE MONTHS USE - see picture. Corrosion started becoming a parent on number wheels. Like a chalky dust. Not a good sign for the long term. Not convinced it’s weather proof!! ***Seems good quality. Was easy to programme our own code (which required a small screwdriver). The dials are quite small so it is quite fiddly to rotate the dials and align hence my comment that I maybe should have gone for the next size lock up but if you have smaller fingers you maybe won’t face my issue. Positive button at the bottom which when pressed pops the catch open. On the whole I’m pleased. Time will tell how it reacts to being exposed to all weathers.
