The quality of besan is nice. It has fine textured ansld smooth too. I tried khaman with it and found it is too good to use with great taste.

Quality of besan is very good and fresh

We really liked this flour, including the taste, which was the thing we liked the most. I didn't have a specific recipe for this product, so I just made in into a flat bread. You aren't going to get much rise from a product like this, so the flat bread was the best option I could think of without searching for specific recipes. I also like the fact that it is organic.

Arrived damaged and unusable, no returns

This is my first time working with chickpea flour and won't be my last. It's proven great not only for the Indian recipes I've tried it with, but also for changing the texture and flavor profile of other things I've used it in (it's also a good thickener, and doesn't even need to be made into a roux, so bonus points there). My only issue with it is the price. I'm fortunate to live in an area that has a handful of Indian grocers, and the prices for their chickpea flour are typically lower than this. So while I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this brand on taste and quality alone, I'd still suggest shopping around.

There are a number of recipes we make and use chickpeas such as vegan balls and other items, and this flour is perfect for that usage as we substitute the regular flour with the chickpeas for a much healthier option. The flour is great well fined and preserved. This is a great value for the money.

First I will say that if you have never tried chickpea flour, you definitely need to give it a try - OH SO VERSATILE! While it has many uses, my primary usage is for socca (a french flatbread) and besan capsicum sabji (an Indian dish). The flavor is just so appealing to me - nutty but with an ever-so-slight sweetness. It also makes a great thickener for soups and stews. This particular product is organic and comes in a heavy duty resealable (ziplock-style top) bag. I do think it is a bit pricey though - even if it is organic. I am very fortunate to live in an area with a lot of Indian markets and have ready access to chickpea flour at lower price points.
