Magical!!
The media could not be loaded. As someone who believes the right ice can majorly impact a cocktail, this simple ice maker understands the assignment!!Simply pour the water in, slide into the freezer, all of the impurities sink to the bottom and you are left with crystal clear ice!!These cubes are the perfect size for a whisky glass, taste is pure, and looks great in a cocktail! If you have been looking for a way to get clear ice that is both easy and high quality, this is it!!

Works pretty well, about 95% clear
Haven't taken any pictures, but this is a nice way to make clear ice, or mostly clear, very easily. Ice can tend to be a tad foggy at the bottom but the majority is crystal clear. Tried with bottled water and tap, definitely works better with filtered, but tap will work decently also. I do recommend this if you want nice clear large cubes for cocktails.

This thing works!
Yes, the instructions are sparse (written on the back of the box) but it's simple.First wash all components w dish soap and rinse well.Put liner in foam box.Fill half way w water (filtered, tap, doesn't seem to matter)Insert middle part slowly, let the water seep through the 8 holes. If you add the water first you don't have to wait for the water to gurgle through the holes.Next insert the cube mold tray.Fill w water to top and put on coverPut in freezer, make sure it's level.Wait, and wait, and wait some more. Don't be tempted to "check progress". The cues will freeze from the top down and push impurities and O2 out the bottom hole. If you mess with the mold, you pull all that back in again. This whole process takes time so make lots to keep on hand.Keeping them in zip lock baggies keeps them fresh and keeps out fridge tastes and odors. My first try took almost 48 hrs, be patient. My first try, I had perfect clear cubes. When ready, put them in the slick bag provided and put them in the freezer.Prep next batch and put it back in the freezer. Do not reuse any of the old water.Usage tip. When you pull a cube to use, let it sit on a plate for few minutes. I've heard this called "sweating". This relieves the internal stress in the cube so it doesn't crack when you pour in you beverage of choice.Oh, and yes, they do last longer..

Kinda works
So I guess it works, but its, not the clearest ice, and after two uses I feel like Im going to rip the rubber tray trying to get the ice out. After one try, at 36 hours the ice wasn't frozen. The second try I waited 48-49 hrs and it was frozen solid. The ice doesn't come out anything like the video shows. I had to pry the large tray out and run it under hot water to get the giant ice block off of the bottom. Then I had to carefully twist the tray to get the actual cubes out without ripping the rubber tray. The bottom of the cubes are cloudy, not crystal clear. If there is an easier way then they should tell us how to use it, otherwise, I dont recommend this item.

Pain in the butt to extract ice
The whole unit's pieces separate when freezing. Hard to extract silicon tray and feels like it will be torn.Ice comes out great and the included bag is a great bonus. To be fair, I have the same problem with the round ice cube makers as well.Great deal only if you can't afford the money or space for an electric clear ice maker.

The professional choice. Works as advertised every time.
These work. Honestly, that should be enough said, but just in case it's not, I work at a craft cocktail bar and we use 10 of these to make our clear ice cubes for Old Fashioneds. They just work. Easy use, durable, and straight forward.A tip for anyone who buys them: If you're having trouble pulling the top tray of cubes out of the rest of the reservoir, try to take the whole thing out of the freezer and set it on the counter at room temperature for 5-10 minutes before trying to pull out the cubes. This makes it a lot easier to separate the cube tray from the rest of the ice box.Another pro tip: don't fill the cube tray to the top with water. Leave about 1/8" (3mm) of space on the top for the ice to expand. This will give you square cubes more consistently rather than longer rectangular cubes.Pro tip 3: If your cubes are cracking when pouring drinks on them, that means you need to temper the cubes before adding liquid. Let them sit out for 1-2 minutes at room temp before pouring your drinks on them. It also helps if you chill your drinks before adding the liquid into the glass with this cube.
