I've always hated using expanding foam, due mostly to only ever using the disposable single use tins. I found the procedure to be hard work, given the lack of control and wasteful since it's pretty impossible to clean the disposable tins out in order to use them again in the future.I bought this gun to fill a few holes around drain pipes at home and so far, I'm very impressed.The applicator gun arrived quickly and well packaged in a Preciva branded box. Inside the box, there was the gun, an instruction book and four plastic nozzles with a tiny hole at the end.On first impressions, I wasn't sure about the nozzles given the size of the hole.The gun seems very well made. It is made of a combination of plastic and metal parts. It feels very sturdy and rigid, with all of the interfacing parts feeling very secure.The handle is plastic with a silicone over mould. The plastic of the handle is rigid and doesn't seem to flex. It is hollow - the bottom end is open, but that doesn't compromise the rigidity of the tool. If anything, it makes it pleasantly light and well-balanced.The socket for the foam can is also very sturdy and I found it hard to over tighten the can here. With hand pressure, the tin was well seated.On to using the gun (after shaking the foam can well), there is a knurled screw at the back of the gun which allows you to limit the action of the trigger. It goes from fully closed, where the trigger is locked closed right through to a full range on the trigger. Fully open may be useful if you are filling a chasm, but for normal jobs, I found I only needed to open the screw a small amount to get good control.I started of without the plastic nozzles and, although it worked well, I quickly gave the nozzles a try, to get right in between the drain pip and brick. Although I was concerned about the small hole, It all worked very well - the plastic nozzle stayed attached and it further improved control of application.So, all holes filled, I moved on to cleaning the gun. Again, this was something I was unsure about before.Removing the can of foam did result in some overflow at the connection point. Nothing too great and it was easy to manage. The foam cleaner I bought had a spray nozzle, which I used to clear the foam from the attachment point first. The foam just melts away with the foam cleaner, so that was quickly clean.After that, the foam cleaner can fits to the same attachment point as the foam can used and you just spray out the excess foam and a bit of the cleaner until the last remnants of foam have gone. You can see in my photo that the foam that initially came out of the gun when I was cleaning it was quickly dispersed by the cleaner and all parts of the gun (including the plastic nozzle) were thoroughly cleaned.All in all, this was a very pleasing experience. I've bought a couple of tools from the Preciva brand in the past and this tool did not disappoint. It is well manufactured and there aren't any annoying niggles (like bad moulding or loose parts). I like that there is an instruction book to guide through the first steps. It clearly is a manual translated from Chinese, but the outcome is understandable and clear enough to follow. You probably won't read it beyond first use anyway - if at all!For the money, this tool is excellent value. While the handles may be metal on the more expensive models, I found that to be the only significant difference here and I actually found it more comfortable using a plastic/silicone handle outside on a cold winters morning anyway!I would definitely recommend this and wouldn't bother with the disposable cans. On second use, you'll have made up the cost of the gun, four uses will cover the cost of the large foam cans and cleaner as well. The fact the big can will now outlast those four uses makes this a bit of a no-brainer! I also don't think I'd go to the extreme of buying an expensive version of this gun. At the end of the day it is an applicator gun and I think Preciva have priced this at the right level for what it is.

The media could not be loaded. Bought these as I had a lot of foam sealing work to do. No problems at all, great seal on the gun cans and easy to clean. (Make sure you buy the appropriate cans with the screw on adaptor for a gun and a tin of cleaner, note the solvent cleaner only works while the foam is wet, once cured it won’t work). The flow rate adjuster works great and gives you a lot of control that you won’t get using a regular tin and straw.Cans screw on easily and come off with minimal mess, you will have some foam on removal so have a can of cleaner at the ready.Highly recommend, sturdy metal construction and will save you time and money as the tins can be reused unlike the non gin equivalents.

Good product. I used it to fill in some small holes in ceiling of a flat roof. Only negative is the tubes could have been longer. But good product overall and a must for every DIYer

A worthwhile cost effective investment even for occasional DIY, teflon nozzle has worked consistently and cleans up with ease - half used cans don't clog and are not wasted. Range of applicators provided also allows filling tight voids without mess.

Had a Faithfull gun and a No-nonsense (from Screwfix) before that. The Faithfull was great because it's non-stick, so you can leave a gun on for days - or even weeks - at a time, pick it up and still use it. I wanted one for low-expansion adhesive foam, whilst leaving normal foam in my Faithfull gun, but they were out of stock so I opted for this one instead. This gun is very similar in that respect and it's much better than the SF one. Highly recommended.

The gun worked really well making the horrible job of using expanding foam much easier. I would buy this unit again.

Great price works great. Never use anything but this now! Easy to control

Used for 2 small 10 minutes jobs. Kept the item spotlessly clean with foam cleaner spray.On third use foam just squirts out the back of the gun covering my hands and everything else.The non stick finish is useless. Will clean up with lots of clearer spray but its the spray that gets it clean, not the non stick finish.Total waste of money.

Alot of reviews said that it exploded or leaked on them. I just took my time and made sure the bottle and sprayer lined up perfectly while screwing it together. The accessories like the hoses that came with were very handy. Akfix Thermcoat Spray Foam Insulation is what i sprayed through this.

Ne faccio uso professionale e va tutto secondo le regole

Ero in cerca di una pistola per schiuma poliuretanica, mi sono imbattuto in queste due grazie agli articoli offerti vine, devo dire che li sto trovando molto utili in particolar modo una delle due, si apre e si chiude in maniera perfetta, mentre con altre ho avuto sempre molte difficoltà, non posso che essere soddisfatto e consigliare l’articolo.

Salve a tutti ho ricevuto in prova grazie al programma Amazon voci Vine questa pistola manuale per schiume poliuretaniche e prodotta dal marchio ‎Preciva ha superato le mie aspettative perchè non comprendevo se questa fosse realizzata interamente in metallo come lo è ho fosse di perfluorocarbonato e ABS come scritto in pagina di vendita , il primo dovrebbe essere il rivestimento ho vernice nera a protezione delle superfici metalliche mentre la maniglia e in materiale plastico quindi ABS tolto il dubbio perchè perlomeno io non comprendevo le informazioni in pagina di vendita, la pistola si presenta molto bene già usata in modo professionale per sigillare degli interstizi nel tetto di legno antico che sono in fase di ristrutturazione, funziona molto bene e perchè è nuova quindi libera da residui di prodotti usati in precedenza ma questo rivestimento impedisce alla schiuma di attaccarsi morbosamente e seccarsi intasando come fa con pistole in acciaio e alluminio ma solo se si usa prontamente il pulitore idoneo, ormai di questo ho esperienza decennale a riguardo, questa pistola dovrebbe soffrire meno questo fenomeno grazie al rivestimento e al teflon nella cannetta, ma sconsiglio in ogni caso di lasciare la bomboletta montata troppo tempo senza utilizzarla perchè intaserebbe tutto ugualmente, una cosa non mi piace vista la mia esperienza se la punta non ho per svariati motivi tempo e modo di pulire subito con solvente appropriato poi si secca sono costretto a grattarla via con la spazzola d'acciaio oppure il taglierino rovino quindi di sicuro la verniciatura e rivestimento protettivo nero.In conclusione la pistola che ho ricevuto è di tipo professionale in confezione ci sono diversi beccucci e raschietti di plastica e istruzioni anche in italiano , il meccanismo è interamente in metallo perchè abbia lunga durata di vita vuole pulita di frequente con pulitore idoneo oppure usala come viene e va ma senza sperare che poi abbia una vita utile superiore a tutte le altre dipende dalla cura e premura che si ha nell'adoperala quindi pulirla subito, è una bella pistola sicuramente funziona bene e leggera comoda ,le premesse le ho fatte io la consiglio ad artigiani e amanti del fai da te e buon lavoro usate le protezione personali in ogni caso ciao a tutti

Ich habe die Schaumpistole gekauft und bin absolut zufrieden mit meiner Wahl. Hier sind meine Erfahrungen:Positives:Handhabung: Die Pistole liegt sehr gut in der Hand und lässt sich leicht bedienen. Selbst bei längeren Arbeiten ermüdet man nicht so schnell.Präzision: Die Dosierung des Schaums ist extrem präzise. Dadurch kann ich sehr sauber arbeiten und es gibt kaum Verschwendung.Materialqualität: Die Schaumpistole wirkt sehr robust und langlebig. Alle Teile sind gut verarbeitet und machen einen hochwertigen Eindruck.Reinigung: Nach dem Gebrauch lässt sich die Pistole leicht reinigen, was die Lebensdauer zusätzlich verlängert.Anleitung: Die Bedienungsanleitung ist hervorragend. Sie ist bebildert und in verschiedenen Sprachen verfügbar, was die Inbetriebnahme und Pflege sehr erleichtert.Negatives:Keine wesentlichen Nachteile: Bisher habe ich keine nennenswerten negativen Punkte gefunden.Insgesamt bin ich mit dieser Schaumpistole sehr zufrieden und kann sie jedem empfehlen, der Wert auf präzises und sauberes Arbeiten legt. Der Preis ist absolut angemessen für die gebotene Qualität.
