In the picture (magnified) i see what appears to be a cast zinc fitting screwed into the tank. am i right? they crack, and hard to find and replace.

Does the Auto Drain feature mean that I don't have to empty the tank when not in use for long periods of time?

You can adjust both the duration and frequency of the auto drain valve, and also attach a length of tubing to run both the moisture and noise elsewhere. I still drain my tank when it won't be used for an extended period, was taught that long ago and have just kept doing it since. This compressor takes no time at all to refill the tank.

What is the difference between the 100020C and the 10020cad?
