Perfect for Quick Chops and Small Batches!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Perfect for Quick Chops and Small Batches!I absolutely love this little food chopper! The Hamilton Beach 72850 is compact, powerful, and super easy to use. It’s perfect for quick meal prep—chopping onions, garlic, herbs, or even making a small batch of salsa or hummus. The one-touch press-and-go design is a game changer—no complicated settings, just stack and press! It has just the right size for small jobs, and it doesn’t take up much counter space. Cleanup is a breeze too—everything comes apart easily and is dishwasher safe. For the price, it’s an amazing value and definitely a kitchen essential if you cook regularly.Highly recommended for anyone who wants to save time in the kitchen without investing in a big bulky food processor!

So far, so good!
Quite happy with this thus far (3 weeks into use). Wanted a small food processor for chopping/making pesto/etc. This meets my needs.PROS:- Low cost so low risk in case it sits in my cabinet for months at a time!- Chopped up fresh basil & pine nuts & garlic with ease. Made a great pesto!- Can "shred" a block of cheese for easier melting. Nothing pretty in the end product but easier than doing by hand if you don't mind the output.- Easy to clean up and store.CONS:- Don't let the kids wash the blade. My teen did, and gave himself a nasty cut on the sharp blade!

Actually a 4 and a half
First, the good: it has a powerful motor. Reasonably quiet. Easy to fill and operate, very easy to clean. Doesn't take up much counter space, looks good enough to be left out but compact enough to store if you prefer. The somewhat bad: because the motor is powerful and the blade starts right up at a high speed, you may have a hard time getting a medium chop rather than a fine mince. I put chunks of onion in, wanting a medium dice, but before I knew it, within seconds, the onion was finely minced. To get a coarser chop, first, put in a small amount of veggie cut up into chunks; if you fill the container up, the bottom layer will be minced before the upper layer gets pulled down into the blades. Pulse very briefly - like, not even a full second. When you get the size of dice that you want, empty the container and put in another small batch. Unplug it when taking the lid off and lifting the bowl off to empty it, because it's possible to accidentally press the power thingy. If you want fine mince such as for relish, carrot cake, or pesto, you don't have to be as cautious, but for chopping or dicing, it takes a little more practice. I'd give it 4 1/2 if possible, it's a good small appliance.

Perfect size for small kitchen jobs, but a bit loud
I’ve had this Hamilton Beach Mini Food Processor for a few weeks now, and it’s earned a permanent spot on my kitchen counter. I already own a Ninja and a Vitamix, so I wasn’t exactly in need of another appliance, but I found that when it comes to smaller jobs - chopping a single onion, pulsing some herbs, or making a quick salsa - the bigger machines are just overkill. They don’t work well unless there’s a good amount of volume, and clean-up becomes a chore. This little 3-cup unit fills that gap perfectly. What stands out most is how effective the blade design is. The cross-sectional profile seems especially well thought out - it doesn’t just spin, it actually chops, giving you consistent results without turning everything into mush. The motor also surprised me. For its size, it delivers quite a punch. I’ve used it to mince garlic/ginger/chillies, puree cooked vegetables, and make small batches of pesto, and it hasn’t struggled yet.Cleanup is a non-issue. Everything rinses off easily, and the compact parts don’t take up half the sink like the Vitamix does. My only complaint is the noise. For such a small machine, it’s surprisingly loud - like industrial-blender level rickety loud. It’s not a deal breaker, but you probably don’t want to run it while someone’s on a phone call nearby. If you do a lot of solo cooking or just want something convenient for quick tasks, this one makes a lot of sense. Just brace for the noise.
