10TB is enough room!
For pretty much anything you like, this drive is versatile! I've enjoyed having no fear of running out of capacity on my hard drive anymore. If you're looking for space its a great drive and at 7200 RPM it gets the job done quick!

full compatibilty with Synology DS
My old seagate central died after some 7 years. fortunately my data was backed up and lost some minor work, very important for me was to be able to back up frequently without the need to have RAID configuration (i.e. more expensive) and use my decent 8tb external seagate. I found Synology has an app that lets you do that called USB COPY, so I went for a 1 bay Synology: works like a charm. Initially this WD drive had some terrible noise, really ugly. loud and the tone was particulary anoying, I wanted to blame this WD, but found that was the Synology DS; did some fix the DS and noise levels are now acceptable, not easy did not want to mess with the drive cooling.

Good upgrade for NAS
I bought two of these to replace 5 TB drives in an NAS device. The install was easy as you first install one drive and wait for it to be integrated into the RAID scheme. Once it is fully integrated you install the second and wait for it to integrate into RAID also. Both drives integrated as expected and they have been running 24/7 since then without a hiccup.I have had good experience with the WD Pro Red series for NAS devices. Over the past ten years not a single failure. Only one drive of several had some reallocated sectors but not enough for the drive to fail.

Noisy, but love the performance and capacity.
I have two of the drives installed in a two bay NAS and the performance is fantastic in Raid 1. I just wish they were a bit quieter. They would be 5 stars if not for the noise.

Good large spinning performance
They are significantly louder than my old 4TB Reds but these seem to be the tiniest bit better performance wise. Previously my NAS could easily sit in my media cabinet and now its so loud I need to move it somewhere else. Vibration and seeking noises mostly. That's the trade off I guess for keeping the 4 bay NAS but needing more space. If I was starting from scratch I would get more bays and smaller quieter drives.

1 of 2 failed after 38 days
loved it until 1 of 2 failed after 38 days. Western Digital website down for days, therefore service sucks.

Beware!!! Total SCAM. Sold tampered/ relabeled product without warranty.
I have bought a WD red pro hard drive at full price of $300+ thinking I will be getting 5 years warranty as per product description however got me an old product possibly repacked since label say manufacture date of April 2019 but per Western Digital was tampered and not for resale. Not one but both hard drive that I purchased. I contacted seller almost a month ago and was told will get a message from WD to provide me a replacement but did not happen and seller was no longer responding. I tried to have WD as well to atleast provide me a warranty correction but was declined since WD product was tampered. I contacted Amazon for relief since I was screwed big time but denied and instead was told to go to the manufacturer for assistance which could not help me due to no warranty provided with tampered product. Now I am worried that my entire file can get corrupted suddenly with this product I’ve got to store my life work.

WD Always
I've never been let down by Western Digital. I actually have some 6 yr old drives still banging away as they should. In the past 15 years I had one return and it was rather painless. To avoid the "religious wars" of hard drives, particularly between Seagate and Western Digital, either will perform well for you. Yes, there are failures, and yes there have been some runs of both manufacturers that can let you down. On balance, I've been fortunate by standardizing on WD.
