Works, but NOT dual-action
As a beginner who knew nothing about painting this gun posed as an issue initially. But I learnt how to work with this and it functions well. Please read the following to get a better idea about this air-brush.Issue #1:This is a single-action air-brush. Which essentially means that air keeps on flowing through the brush. The Trigger is ONLY used to release the paint. So while I'm constantly blowing air, even when not painting, my compressor ends up running continuously.Solution #1:I had to buy an additional ball-valve and attached this to the hose, right before it attaches to the air-brush. So after painting, I can shut this off, to stop wastage of air.Issue #2:Like with all air-brushes, you have to clean it prior to using it. It would have a lot of grease and muck to keep it lubricated in storage. I used paint thinner to clean it thoroughly and sprayed it through a couple of times. Removed the needle out and cleaned it well too. Be very careful when handling the needle and even more care when inserting it back into the air-brush as it does not always go in straight. The issue though is that the thinner was leaking back at the point of the trigger. This is plain lack of Quality checks and testing before packing.Solution #2:After a bit of tinkering after dismantling the whole brush, I found the front "Needle O-ring Screw" (through which the needle goes through) needed tightening. This takes a few tries, to perfect as if too tight, the needle doesn't go through. And too loose, it leaks. And each time, you to fit everything together, before you can test. Also you need a very thin and long screw-driver(with a flat head) to be able to do this. As the only way to do this, is through the back - the same way the needle goes in. Lucky that I had this on hand.Issue #3:Hose connection. This comes in a non-standard size (approx. 5/16 inch or 7.5mm), so getting the right-sized quick-connector is going to be hard. It comes with a push-in type straight hose connector, so the solution is in the box.It overall works fine for my purpose, which is to put base coats of acrylic primer on canvas - as the 60ml tank comes in handy. But be prepared for the above possible issues and- no response from the Seller, in case you have a question- it's non-returnable, so at this point, I cannot recommend this.
