For being as thin as it is in the handle, the shape is well considered and lends itself to a comfortable and controllable, full grip for my large, slender hands. The blade shape and grind make this a very good slicer with a low enough tip to be perfect for utility cuts.AR-RPM9 stainless steel is essentially a spray-form version of 9cr18mov so good edge retention at this price range and fairly tough so it's not chippy. It sharpens and strops back into shape very nicely. After putting a good edge on it, a strop with some stropping compound can maintain a hair popping edge for a good long time between sharpenings. It's also very corrosion resistant. My GF uses the smaller version of this knife in the kitchen and leaves it covered in all kinds of gunk for long periods and I have yet to see a spot of rust on the blade. I have even less of a concern with corrosion on this model considering it's PVD coated. The lockup is solid on mine and the lock bar easily accessed. The front flipper is easy to use as are the well placed thumb studs and the detent is perfect. It thwacks open with authority. For what it is, this really is an excellent knife. If you like the look, buy it, it's well worth the money. Kudos to the designer and to CJRB.

Nice size for a pocket Knife
I have been looking for a small knife to carry with me and in case someone gets too close.I like that the knife is easy to open and locks in place. In the old days we called these types of knifes gravity knifes.THIS IS NOT A SWITCH BLADE. another Thing I like it's slim so you can't even feel it in your pocket. As far as sharpness the knife comes with a nice sharp blade on it. I have a collection of knifes for 50 years, so I know how to sharpen knifes. NO KNIFE STAYS SHARP FOREVER. If ANYBODY SAYS OTHERWISE, THEY ARE MISINFORMED OR LYING.

Awesome Upgrade to the Smaller Original
The media could not be loaded. This is exactly what I've been hoping for! The original Maileah is awesome and it's a perfect option if you're looking for a sub-3" knife, but In a few situations I found myself wishing that it was just a little bit bigger, not a lot but just enough to make my job a little easier. And here it is, the More Maileah has a 3" blade instead of the 2.5" blade of the original but CJRB decided to keep the same blade stock and handle thickness so it's a fairly flat/wide knife which makes it an excellent cutter and surprisingly robust feeling during use. The shape lends itself well to bigger cutting tasks, and it's actually surprising good for food prep too. The handle is still mostly comfortable with a 3-finger grip, but it's a lot less cramped than the original version, and the extra long jimping makes a lot of sense when using this knife for heavier cutting, it just fits especially well in my hand and it's genuinely a pleasure to use.I'm also really happy that CJRB decided to stick with AR-RPM9 steel, it's performed especially well for me and while I'm not usually a fan of black coated blades I'm really into the black/gold color combination. The action is as good, if not better, than the original, the front flipper is especially satisfying with the extra blade weight. Overall, as usual great job CJRB, and great job listening to your customers!

Great knife!
Overall, it is a very high-quality knife. It is small enough to fit anywhere and sharp enough to handle whatever you'd need a pocket knife for without being clunky. The one downside is that the upper edge of the knife by the handle has ridges to help keep it stabilized while you use it, but it is slightly counterproductive and hurts your hand if you are trying to cut something hard. But overall it is great quality and super useful, would definitely buy it again!

Very good for the money
Design, fit and finish very good. High quality steel that takes a good edge. This is too small for my hand (I am a large man) but the woman I gave it to is very happy with it. If it were larger I would carry one myself.

Doesn’t hold an edge for more than two weeks
Great action, love the geometry of the blade, size is great. It’s a 3 finger forsure unless you choke up on it. Fits nicely in the front or back pocket. My only issue is that the blade doesn’t hold an edge at all. Got it razor sharp out of the box but just a few days, and a couple packages later it wouldn’t shave my hair anymore and definitely did not pass the paper test. All around great beater knife but I wouldn’t make this my every day carry.
