Keeps your cuppa warm
Really happy with this little Hario metal carafe. It's insulated and well designed, and keeps my coffee warm until I'm ready to drink it. I have the 02 size and use the like filter for it and it fits perfectly. It's also easy to clean and sleek looking. Really happy with this purchase.

Love
This is the coolest little pot to keep hot water and tea. It looks good and you can do a pour over with on it if you want to.

Solid carafe with the right trade-offs
I'd like to share a review that compares this to the previous iteration of this server, "Hario V60 Insulated Metal Beverage Server, 600ml". This older model has a handle that is shaped like a half circle. I've been using the older version of this server for almost 6 years. It's still doing its job like a champ; I just wanted another server dedicated for tea.The older model was fantastic and set the silver standard for us. Hot liquids that go in there stay "hot" easily for 4-6 hours. We are slow drinkers and this was perfect for us to nurse a coffee/tea over the course of an hour. We did notice it would sometimes release hot pressure slowly (you could hear it ssk-ssk-ing). I think over time that would also contribute to the cooling down of the liquids inside, but heat retention was still good enough it was never a concern even with our slow drinking. If you've used a Zojirushi thermos, I would still consider that the gold standard. However, the design and ease of use of the server means it won't ever be as thermally efficient as non-server design. The one major downside of the old server was cleanability - while it had great retention, the design meant the "lid" itself was where the liquid would pour from - effectively a "sealed" pouring lid. It was a pain to wash, a pain to dry (I'd use a chip clip to keep the lid open so it could dry on our dish rack). And after years of usage who knew what might be growing inside it! The black matte finish has also started to flake on our older model - typical wear and tear and not something you can do much about.Fast forward to this new model. Cleaning is tremendously improved! You can take the whole thing apart down to every last spring/gasket, and you can toss them all in the dishwasher or soak them with bottle cleaner tablets. The throat of the server is also widened making it easier to get your hand, bottle brush, or sponge in there. It has a polished interior which the instruction manual says is easier to clean, though to be honest I never had trouble with the older, more matte like interior. I think it's a huge improvement over the old one. The ease of disassembly and ease of cleaning however has made it bit less effective at heat retention. I haven't done any measurements yet, but it feels as if temps drop a bit quicker than the older model. If you're drinking within 2 hours I think you'll be fine. Beyond that, in the 2-4+ hours range, you can notice the transition from "hot" to "warm". I also think it's easier to accidentally not have a great seal on this newer model, as the old lid was screw-in and this one is push-in. So make sure you're getting a good seal when you push it in.TLDR - for the cleaning improvements over the older model, I find this a good trade off. Many servers have these 'pouring' lids which I'm not a fan of at all. But if that doesn't bother you and you're looking for max heat retention, you may want to look elsewhere:+ beautiful matte black finish. very modern, matches black fixtures in kitchens really well. TBD on how this holds up vs the older model!+ super easy to clean and take apart+ dishwasher friendly. great peace of mind for those worried about mold+ comes with 3 different pouring 'mouths' which let you control the speed at which the liquids are poured out+ you can easily pour to the last drop. no more tilt the server completely upside down and still have something stuck in there that won't come out+/- solid 2 hours of 'hot' retention, transitioning to 'warm' after that- easy to accidentally not get a good solid seal when you place the lid inOne final note - I did just change the mouth to a smaller mouth - I will keep an eye out on whether or not this affects how much heat is accidentally released at each pour. I'll try to update my review in a few weeks.

Great insulated carafe for pour over or drip
I purchased this to use with an OXO 8 cup drip machine because I'm the only coffee drinker in my household, so the size of the stock carafe was overkill since I typically brew half a pot at a time. Since then, I've also been using it for 400-600mL brews using a Hario Switch 03. The opening is the right size to make it useable with the V60 or Switch, both are easy to balance on top. The lid is also very easy to clean, it separates into two parts that allow you to rinse the parts that are in contact with the coffee to prevent buildup. I usually preheat the carafe with some hot water before brewing, and have found it to keep even a single cup of coffee hot for several hours. I've had coffee in it for about 2.5 hours at the maximum, but it's still hot enough where I have to wait for it to cool before drinking. I've also found that there's no impact to flavor. Lastly, it pours very nicely. There are no drips from the spout and only a few mL are retained inside when pouring the last cup. My only minor complaint is that there can be a bit of splashing if you tip the carafe to pour before pressing the lever to open the spout, but this is easy to avoid.Overall, I would highly recommend this carafe.

Huge improvement over the original!
I largely stopped using the original version of this because it seemed really difficult to get fully clean. This version solves that, while also adding some thoughtful features like a locking lid and 3 little flow plates to adjust how quickly the coffee pours. The lid also disassembles quite easily for complete cleaning, so you don't have to worry about rancid coffee acids or mold building up in hard-to-reach places!

Overall great, but complicated lid
This is a great carafe. I broke my Hario glass carafe and this model should eliminate that problem. This is an upgrade over the previous model of insulated carafe. It's very solid and the polished stainless steel inside really resists coffee stains. It keeps coffee hot very well. The only downside is the lid is a bit complex to take apart for cleaning. Usually I remove the lid completely to pour coffee to minimize the need to clean it.

Keeps it warm, practical
Does the job, keeps my coffee hot and looks good. The mechanism works at 90% though, as I press to pour, it takes a cpl seconds to get going. Overall, happy with it.

Nice carafe
Keeps things hot for a long time, perfect for making a french press when I get up, it stays just as fresh by the time my partner gets to it later.
