If you have plants that need a lot of acid (in my case it's blueberries), you need to occasionally add some of this to the soil. It's easy to open, easy to distribute (just toss out on the ground around your plants), and nature will take care of the rest. Just take note of how much to distribute. My experience says that it's better to put too MUCH than too LITTLE.

Ok ordered couple bags of this acidifier. Jobes is a well knows brand for fertilizers and things so a trust worthy company when it comes to plants. My complaint and why one star is off? Well quality control of the bag itself. It looks like the bag wasn't sealed quite correctly, shifted about an inch over, so the one end had the edge stick out once inch farther, and the other side one inch shorter leaving the bag open on that side about an inch. If you know what this acidifier looks like is very tiny round flat particles. basically some of it was out of the bag and in the box. I guess that's what you get when everything is automated, there is no quality control anymore. If it was packed by hand someone should have caught this. It's not worth sending back, but i'm sure i'm out a cup of the material. Anyways, if you need to lower ph (acid) then use this, i think a few blue flowers and blue berries need this to grow in high ph areas like Los Angeles.

WEll when your soil needs to be acidic HERE you go I will be buying as needed

I ordered this lime to improve the pH of my vegetable garden’s soil. The small bag was just the right size to cover my garden space. I like that the lime is pelletized. This makes it easy to apply with a broadcast spreader. Application is even, and you don’t have to deal with the cloud of white dust that working with regular powdery lime creates. I was entirely satisfied with this product.

I didn’t scroll down far enough - though ‘powder’ is in the first few words of its description, this is pellets… SO if you’re looking for POWDER to make a paste to treat your orchard tree trunks, this is NOT your product!
