I immediately loved this product after putting it on my skin and wanted to place another order. Glad I tried it to make hand sanitizer, my reason for buying it, before buying more.I discovered that when mixed with 91% alcohol, a chewing gum sized ball of gummy material forms in the bottom of the mixing container eventually. It also coats the container, but if mixing continues, the ball eventually grows bigger and can be removed with a spoon. It's softer than chewing gum, but it is clearly a gum or polymer of some kind, or a type of plastic. The ingredient on the label that makes this mess when mixed with alcohol is carbomer. Eventually I had a runny concoction with the proper alcohol content and had cleaned out all of the gum that formed in the mixing process, which had to be removed to be able to use with a pump dispenser or a spray bottle.According to Wikipedia, carbomer is frequently used in skincare and cosmetic products for consistency and is harmless. That may be the case, but it makes a bit of a mess when making hand sanitizer. As an aloe product to use on skin, if you're okay with an acrylic acid or carbomer in your products, it's very soothing and leaves skin feeling incredibly soft. It's not sticky or stiff on drying. It's definitely a 5-star product as an aloe application, but for the purposes of making hand sanitizer, I would not buy it again.
