Very happy with these, I've seen a couple of older negative opinions on the brand online but decided to see for myself, I started with this calligraphy set first then almost immediately purchased the fountain pen set followed closely by two more fountain pens. The sheer volume of ink and variety of compatible nibs and the converter strait out of the box make this a no brainer decision, they also look lovely in the flesh. Not had any major problems with any of the nibs, they have more or less been flawless and very smooth on each paper type I've tried to date, from low cost printer paper to decent notebooks. The only negative so far, if you prefer to post your cap its not very secure which is unfortunate. This is an almost identical review of my W&B fountain pen set purchase, just mentioning in case someone sees both and doesn't realise they are different sets/reviews.

Over the past week, I've purchased various "calligraphy" pens from here and elsewhere. Only the Wordsworth & Black set merits a review, standing out as the sole useful choice, albeit pricier than others. Yet, at under £40, it's a steal. The pen's heft aids in precise angle control. Its nib is genuine metal, not mere plastic imitation. The cap, which I habitually use, affords the essential control, and its balance during writing is notably beneficial. I employ it for Arabic script, and the pen truly glides with minimal effort.It evokes nostalgia for my old Osmiroid calligraphy set, which Berol discontinued in favor of a subpar fibre tip alternative.My initial use of the pen was surprising; a couple of gentle shakes and it flowed seamlessly. The pen indeed glides, demanding scant effort, thus allowing focus on crafting each letter.For those seeking an ideal pen for European calligraphy, I would point them towards this set.

After a month or so, the nibs stopped working and dried which makes it harder to write with. Waste of money and nothing else. I would not recommend buying this pen.

Lovely set and all you need to get started. Good box to keep them all in. Good size bottle of black ink. The delivery wasn't that good as all the nibs and pen were out of their space when I opened it.
