Initial thoughts upon opening it out the box was positive. It is well packaged and I found no damage.The product is stylish in its minimalistic & understated design - the brushed metal top is a quality finish. Though the underside is plastic, it is practical and the overall build feels robust and durable. The weight of the product is light to carry around but also has a bit of weight that adds to the robust feel. The iron hot plates are solid and of adequate size.It is very simple to use with the two control knobs and red lights to indicate if a hot plate is active. There is one small critiscm which is I wish the control knobs, rather than simply twisting the knob to the OFF area, could click/lock into the OFF position for assurance & to increase the quality feel. However that's not a huge issue and it is still practical and safe to use in its function. For the price paid, it is difficult to knock it for that.I have used the hob several times so far and it has been a pleasant experience each time with sufficient heat from both plates and easy control. Plates heat up fairly quickly. It is easy quick and easy to clean and pack away when not in use. So I am happy with my purchase and can certainly recommend it if in the market for one.

They're easy to use, clean, and portable, making them a good choice for those looking for a versatile cooking solution. However, if the brand logo's longevity is important to you, you might want to consider other options.

A very good looking professional hot plate which performs well. I have found it can get very hot when on full heat and it is advisable to use it at half power to begin with, which will soon boil water. After that, it is easy to control.

Love this hob I had a induction one but didn't get on with it but this one is brilliant no more over cooked eggs. And very easy to use.

As a stopgap solution this works well. The temperature control is stepless and responsive. My only gripe is that the ring – the hot bit – is ribbed and so harder to clean. I know why it's ribbed: it increases the surface area for heat radiation. So swings and roundabouts.And why doesn't flex flex any more?Update 10/09/23: After only a few uses the knob fell apart – clearly not heat resistant. The remainder of the appliance seems to be well constructed. Fortunately I am capable of repairing the knob; many would not be. So: nice unit for the price, but rubbish knob.
