Dixie Belle Paint Company(Easy Peasy Spray Wax Use with Chalk Finish Furniture Paint

I had read so many good reviews about Dixie Belle's Easy Peasy Spray Wax. However, I was really disappointed with this purchase. It's almost like water. I'm not even sure if it's an authentic product. After applying chalk paint to my oak furniture, I applied the spray wax rubbed it in with a fiber-free cloth and it's like I just sprayed water on it. The paint even seemed like it had just gotten wet with the spray bottle. I don't notice any protection from it. I'm disappointed that I didn't just get the tub of wax. I also used this on painted upholstery on a vanity stool. I didn't seem to notice any difference there either. I'm just curious if this is an authentic product or if it was watered down and resold? If I wanted to retry it, I would buy it directly from Dixie Belle's site

I tried to return this but it says NO RETURNS IF PRODUCT IS OPEN. This product is like using water. I don’t know if it is authentic from this seller. I have watched multiple diy videos on this product and it did not preform like advertised. Used it to seal chalk paint and it dried just the same as it was before using This wax.

I painted some fabric and was going to use this to soften it a bit. It does soften it a little but was expensive and didn't make a huge difference. Depending on your project, you might love it as I know it's a reputable brand!

Great product but very pricey for what you get. Nice timesaver though if that's what you're looking for.

I've used this product plenty of times before, but this was my first time ordering through Amazon. It works just as described, and can be just as durable as the clear coat Dixie Belle also offers. 2-3 coats are recommended, and do allow a few hours in between each coat so the wax can cure and harden. This does not cause yellowing on white painted finishes, and provides a near flawless finish on pieces painted in darker colors such as navy or black.Other water based top coats can be applied over it if the matte finish isn't exactly your taste.
