**Update** It's been almost 6 months and this product is still a lifesaver for me! Fantastic product**In April of 2013 I had my gallbladder removed electively after finding out one HUGE stone was causing me to feel extremely nauseated every single day for hours on end. I really didn't want to have the surgery but there was no way around it because the stone was so large. My greatest worry was that I would have one of the side effects from it that I would deal with permanently.After I had my surgery, I started to notice that eating every day was a challenge for me. I would either suffer from crippling constipation, diarrhea or uncomfortable trapped gas in my abdomen. I tried to see if it was from certain foods but every time I ate a food my GI tract would react differently. I ended up seeing a gastroenterologist about it and he diagnosed me with having problems with bile acid malabsorption. After I eat, the brain sends a signal to my liver to release some bile to help with digestion. Well, without a gallbladder to store it, the liver would just dump bile into my GI tract. Some people handle it perfectly fine but I am one of the lucky ones who needs to sometimes run to a bathroom after a couple bites. It always happened at the WORST times possible and it didn't happen at every meal. My stomach would make the loudest and most embarrassing noises as it digests food. I was put on a cholesterol medication to help soak the bile but it was hit or miss.I decided to stop taking the medication since it was the size of a horse pill and didn't seem to work. I then read up on probiotics and decided to find one to try. I read the reviews on amazon for this product and decided it wouldn't hurt to try it. I chose this brand because of the great reviews and the vegetarian capsule (seriously... why does everything have to have gelatin in it? Yuck.) After a week of use, I realized my stomach was so much quieter during the hours after eating. After one month of taking it, I had maybe 1 or 2 days where I had chronic diarrhea rather than 5 days a week of it! I could eat breakfast and FINISH it without having to run to the bathroom. I could sit in a semi quiet room without having to hear gurgles and pops coming from my abdomen. I really could not believe the difference!I have been taking this almost a month now. I take one every morning before or with food and if I forget to take it I am certainly reminded of it by lunch time. The only side effect I have from it is constipation maybe once a week or so but I will take that over the alternative of letting bile unleash hell on my insides.I have recommended this product to a couple people who have also had issues after having a cholecystectomy (gallbladder removal) to see if it would help them. I hardly ever write product reviews but if anyone is reading this that has gone through the awful pain and embarrassment and daily struggle of dealing with eating without a gallbladder I urge you to give this product a try. It has seriously changed my life. I actually CANCELLED my college class registration because the class was at 8am and I was afraid to be in a quiet lecture hall while my insides were churning and gurgling and everyone would be staring at me. Yeah. So if you have GI woes, give this a shot!

PROS:WORKS - That's the bottom line, isn't it? This is the one I have used for years, have tried a couple of others that didn't work and only go back to this one. Great for putting back GOOD bacteria if you've been on an antibiotic (two on an empty stomach in the morning) or one with a meal for digestion.PRICE - For how well it works for me and the quantity? GREAT PRICE.SIZE - I have no problem swallowing these at all, but they aren't tiny. If you have trouble getting a pill or capsule down, it may be an issue.CAN GET WITH VEGETARIAN CAPSULE - Most gel capsules are made from mammal gelatin. This one isn't, which is a plus for me.FIVE OUT FIVE and not even bothering to try others any longer. THIS WORKS FOR ME and at a price I can afford.

Hello everyone, I thought I should help. For the people who are constipated I may be able to help you. My friend over 3 weeks ago told me what I can do to help my severe constipation that I used to have. I suffered so bad and it was so painful to go and I could never lose weight. I even eat pretty healthy, drinking lots of water and trying to get a lot of fiber in my diet (that didn't even help). I used to use the restroom once every 4-5 days. I had severe headaches everyday. I also used to have bad insomnia as well. I purchased three different products and in writing this review, I am going to just paste the same review for reviews in all 3 of the products that I purchased. I have no more headaches, less fatigued, and I sleep better. I purchased a digestive enzyme, a good probiotic, and magnesium citrate supplements. What I have learned is that we need good bacteria back in our guts. Then the most shocking thing I learned is that so many of us are magnesium deficient. Please, I encourage you to read about magnesium deficiency. It's so hard to test for magnesium deficiency because around only 1% is found in our blood. The rest of the magnesium is stored in our bones and tissues. I first must say that if you are vitamin D deficient you should well of course consult a doctor first but you will need your vitamin D levels to be good in order to take magnesium. The vitamin D blood test is very accurate and I was once deficient. The reason is magnesium, calcium, vitamin D, and vitamin K2 all go together. The magnesium will store better in your body if your vitamin D levels are at where they are supposed to be. I continue to take 6,000 units of vitamin D3 everyday. I live in Michigan and I get no sun. Most people are getting too much calcium and not nearly enough magnesium. I have read that the ratio for calcium to magnesium for most people is 5:1. It should be calcium and magnesium 1:1. I eat foods with dairy and my calcium levels were healthy. The magnesium product that I bought may also be sold with calcium in it. I did not purchase that one because I already have enough calcium in my system but I didn't have any magnesium due to all the symptoms. There are not that many foods that contain magnesium. Honestly, I do not eat spinach and nuts all day long to get the magnesium our bodies need. Magnesium is amazing and it helps with so many symptoms. Magnesium will help you sleep better and has helped so many with insomnia. Magnesium helps with the osmosis in your digestive track. Magnesium can help maintain your heart to be healthy, helps with blood pressure, body aches, reduce headaches, helps with insulin resistance, some fibromyalgia people, helps people with asthma because it opens up the bronchioles so that people can breathe better, and so many more. Now, there are different forms of magnesium that you can take and the dosage for all different types are different. I take magnesium in the form of citarte. This form is very good for people who are suffering from constipation. The supplement I use is in a powder form and I add it to warm water at night before bed. I use 2 measured teaspoons that may be rounded on top every night. These two measured teaspoons equal to around 325 mg a day which is the daily value of 81%. My constipation is cured. I am also hypothyroid and even taking thyroid medication I was still constipated. I have learned everything I mentioned above after I purchased the three products. I wanted to make sure that all this stuff is safe, right amount in using it, and why it's working so well (that's when I learned so much about magnesium). I have used many probiotics and have been searching for something that's nit crazy expensive but that actually works and not just sometimes. I suffer from lots of stomach and digestive issues, Crohn's disease. I odered this stuff a couple of weeks ago after only having some success with the Jarrow Formulas generic of Florastor, it just depended on who I ordered from and if it was kept cool or not, but this stuff seems to be helping. I haven't noticed any upsets since I have been taking this, so far it seems to be working like it's supped to.
