I wanted to upgrade my Fostex T50RP's to balanced inputs given they are pigs for power. Pretty easy to pick a spot to drill a hole in the headphone casing and mount. The hard part was soldering the wires. Because you have to solder with the connector mounted to the headphone cup casing, you are really limited for space. The wires are super tiny and the pins on the connector aren't much bigger. Luckily I have a solder station with selectable temps and I could put a glob of solder on the pins and the wires before trying to finish the connection. This way I didn't burn any of the plastic insulation on the jack itself. You'll need good equipment and technique, but it isn't a fault of the connector, they work just fine. My new balanced input on the T50RP's not only allowed me to use the higher power balanced outputs of my Hiby R3 and R6 Pro, it also opened the sound up a bit more. I also get a strong, locking connection to bypass the notoriously unreliable 3.5mm stereo connector that comes standard. A worthwhile 2 hr project.

My ebike battery charger port ground pin broke as I was attempting to tighten the port screw. Replacing the battery from retrospec was a ridiculous price. I looked to replace the port myself and can across these 5mm in width and flush mount was exactly what I was looking for. After a little soldering the two wires on both the battery and charger. The battery was up and charging. I wasn't sure if this would be able to handle the 52v 2A, but it had not issues charging for the 6 hours the battery needed to fully charge from two bars (25%). I will be stocking up on more of the for future battery builds.

Fits TA5 wireless body pack connectors... with bonus panel mount male connector.Not for beginners! Solder lugs are tiny and will require a patient, experienced hand with correct equipment. Female connector slides out of barrel for soldering. Strain relief is hard plastic (threaded) with soft plastic on tip.

This review is for the 4pin mini xlr. Many of the negative reviews seem to be for a different product. Nothing wrong with these. Works well. Not the top of the line perhaps but I had no issues at all. If the cable is too wide, you can simply trim the rubber boot. No problem.
