I am impressed by the quality and detail of the figures...
I am impressed by the great paint and quality of the figures. The sculpts were very detailed and the accessories were worth the price. I really enjoyed the excitement of opening the box and not knowing what was inside.

Paint Application & Condition of Collector Packaging
The Wild Beyond the Witchlight Carnival Set arrived on time (early in fact) and packaged extremely well for shipment. Although the collectors box was a bit bent up inside in various places (this surprisingly didn’t appear to have happed in shipping). In any case, my main concern for this set were the figures inside.Like many people, the two figures I was most looking forward to were the Palasha the Mermaid and Dirlagraun the Displacer Beast - and surely enough one was doomed from the factory. To be fair the set came with ten minis and to be perfectly honest, they are mostly all awesomely painted. While Mister Lightamd Palasha’s paint application is a perfect ten. The Displacer Beast wasn’t as fortunate. See pics. His wings were a bit of a disaster… but he was the only figure with such a glaring defect (other than the over primed and globular looking Mr Witch) yey Im really loving the others and feel oddly lucky to only have a few with issues.I’ve come to the realization that a huge part of this hobby if you wish to have pieces of quality, is that you have to be willing to fix some of this yourself. I’ve already decided how I’m going to paint my Dirlagraun’s wings and it’s incredibly freeing. Mine will look better. All is good.Overall I think Wiz Kids quality on factory painting can be a rather mixed bag but undoubtedly they seem to be getting better with some of these more recent sets. With just a tad more quality control from WizKids this would have been an easy five stars but I will say four because they are mostly incredibly awesome.Fingers crossed that they wow us with the new Planescape minis..

A Great Set to support WBtWL
I saw some negative reviews that were seller problems and not item problems, so I'm throwing in a balancing review. This set supports the recent Wild Beyond the Witch Light adventure. Each box has 4 (sometimes 5) semi-randomly selected minis. I can't recall the breakdown, but a brick is guaranteed a set number of rares, uncommons, and commons. The paint jobs have improved greatly and even the smallest minis look great. You will get duplicates, but I was happy to get all the doubles for most of what I got. There are a lot of named characters in here and you'll likely get a bunch in a brick. As for the packaging and size issue: not all boxes will have a large or huge mini in it. This means that all of the boxes don't have a plastic tray inside. This is not a sign that that someone has shuffled minis! It should be noted that there are some boxes that will have 5 minis because there are so many small and tiny minis in this set.

Most likely scavenged.
I'm giving it a 3/5 because, overall, I am still content with the product... but I'm pretty sure it's a repack, especially given other reviews I'm seeing.Of the eight boxes I received, only half of them had rare miniatures; two of those were in ONE box. Three of the boxes didn't have protective plastic inserts, and collectively I only got six large miniatures. Unless Witchlight is unlike EVERY other set I've ever opened, every box is suppose to have one rare, one large, and a plastic insert. Feels suspicious.Fortunately, I got lucky enough to get two of my most wanted miniatures in the entire set, so I think it softened my review. Still... wouldn't recommend.

A little tlc and they're perfect!
I'm a little biased in the review because these are some of my favorite characters from the ad&d era.The box itself came pretty damaged for this set. It honestly looked like someone opened it about halfway but the minis seemed to be okay for the most part.As with all minis, 3 out of the 5 came "warped" out of the box. Nothing that the boiling water/ice water trick can't fix but still sucks that it has to be done.If you're playing the Wild Beyond the Witchlight, or just like the retro characters, I definitely recommend this set!

Extremely upset
I ordered this thinking it would be like all the other blind boxes I've gotten, but I was wrong. The box was damaged and obviously had been opened previously and then resealed. The big miniature was gone. All that was left inside was 5 small miniatures. Very upset. Definitely don't recommend buying this one. I don't even want to give it a one star.
