It was shipped very promptly., and it was just what I wanted.

Recipient said it was a good product.

Looking at the picture I thought the openning was larger. Having the measurements doesnt really help much because of the shape.It will definitely allow me to catch and transfer the goldfish in my ponds but my very large Koi are too big for this net. I still intend to keep it as I transfer more of the smaller fish more often and it does fold up nicely.It would probably work well also if you were out pan fishing but if you happen to catch a large stripper, you're gonna need a bigger net.

Wife got this for me as an early xmas gift. I used it on a day fishing trip yesterday. I have to admit i was a bit concerned about the strength of its lock when moving weight was in it. But i like to fish light, only what i can carry as i move around the lake.The netting is rubberized, so it does not hold on to the smell as much as my nylon net does. A quick rinse at the end of the day and your good.The handle has a nice padding, and the shaft is carbon fiber. Overall a nice strong feel.I keep this clipped on the back of my belt and flip it out when needed. You can do this one handed, the action is smooth enough for just a flick of the wrist. The lock is spring loaded, so it locks automatically when extended. You don't have to take both hands off the pole to get it out and ready.Final thoughts so far. trout season is no issue, grabbed up to just over 2 lb fish, and had no issues holding ever the bigger fighters. Not sure how it will hold up to larger fish like bass. But i now have no fears that it will hold up. Im not sure the max weight, but the size when open is large enough to grab a nice size fish. GREAT NET!! I would buy for any fisherman in your life.

I was very impressed by this little fold-able fishing net. At first glance, it seemed like it might not be so sturdy.However, when I unfolded the net I was pleasantly surprised by the positive locking mechanism. It locks the ends of the netusing a spring loaded collar type lock. You pull it down and fold the end of the net to release. This net will easily fit intoa standard backpack when folded. I wanted to test how much weight it could handle, so I used some weights from my benchand loaded them into the net while it was extended (see pics). It handled 5lbs of weight no with no issue at all. I added anadditional 5lbs for 10lbs total and the net held strong with no flexing or issues. The net is fully extended in the pictures asevidenced by the webbing being stretched. I did not go past this because let's be honest, if you are landing fish larger than 10lbs,you aren't going to reach for a backpacking type folding net first. That said, I would definitely recommended this net to anyone.
