Stetson& Dobbs OSBGRV-7436 Mens Big River Hats, Brown - 7 3/4

Fits well and is comfortable. Only negative is the coloured 'sweated' parts on the crown and begin edges do rub off pretty easily.

I have two other Stetson hats. Both of them are winter hats and I have nothing but praise about those two hats. This Stetson straw hat is just okay in comparison. It came with a blemish.....a little problem with the straw being flat on the brim. It has a good sized bump on it. Also, the sweat band goes up into the inside of the hat so far as to cut off about half of the air space. I didn't notice this feature in the advertised picture. I still get some air circulation, but I just think it is odd. I'll keep the hat for outside work this summer as I don't want to go through the hassle of returning it. For the money, I guess it is just okay. I've had much better "straws" in my day from other brands. I was expecting more from Stetson.

As you can see from the pictures it's a nice looking hat. I added some feathers. Very , can feel the wind blowing through the top. Only one complaint! I have a 7 1/8 inch head, I got the medium as recommended, but my head bottoms out. No I do not have a Conehead. LOL it could just be a little deeper. But it fits fine around the head. It's definitely my new fishing hat.

Fit and finish is good, however I deducted one star because the crown is short and the top of my head bottoms out, leaving little to no room for air circulation. The design had changed somewhat since the pictures were posted. The open weaving for air circulation is now higher on the crown and higher than the sweat band, so it's not visible and does not interfere with air flow. Couldn't see any use for the leather straps to be as long as they are so cut them off even with the back of the brim, to keep them off the back of my neck when riding or windy weather. The sweat band provides a nice, snug fit. My head size is 59cm or 23 1/4 inches and a large fits well.

This product is quite small. Too small for the petite adult male that I gifted it too. Buy with caution; if it doesn’t fit they charge shipping and restocking fees. I returned promptly due to poor fit and received less than half of my money back.
