Winter's Fury: The Furyck Saga: Book One

Boring, Tedious, slow. Gave up after 150 pages. Publisher should give up as well. Well written, and edited, but bottom line is that that wasted both the author's and editor's time. No idea what drivel the 5* people have been reading prior to this. If you want spectacular fantasy, read Tad William's 'Memory, Sorrow and Thorn' trilogy, or Raymond Feist's 'Riftwar Saga' or David Edding's 'Belgariad,' Although Tad Williams will spoil the others if you read those books first. But whatever you do, don't read this junk. IMO.

I picked up the book to just flick through the first few pages and get a feel for the story before leaving for work. The story had me hooked instantly and I was late for work as I could'nt put it down! Bought the whole series and have been transported to another world and I loved it. Brilliant.

I have read many books with a similar genre but none written by Rayne. I came across this series by accident and thought I would take a punt. Although it took until part two of the book for me to become really invested in the characters - OMG I am so glad I stuck with it. Jael is a spitfire of a heroine and her story is well worth the reading time. I really like how Rayne dips in and out of each character’s lives and this helps link and move the story forward. Will definitely be reading ‘The Burning Sea’ and the rest of the saga.

One of the best, if not the best part to a six part saga. It’s completely captivating, and as soon as you become immersed into Jeal Furycks world, you never want to leave. Currently reading part 4, and wether it’s part one or part 4 it’s incredibly exciting and beautifully written leaving you wanting more.

While some editing was needed, especially from Edela and Alexanders unnecessary storyline this is a cracker of a book. It's everything a good book should be. Couldn't put it down. Ordered books 2 & 3 immediately.
