Q: How can you be sure they are that pure?

You have to trust the vendor. I imagine you might do a flame test to check the color of the material. Any contamination would change the color of the flame. You would have to look up, they flame color for copper, I don't know what it is off hand. Good luck.

Very pure Cu strips.

Once more a great small, pure sample. I have the venders other sample of Cu shot, but was looking for pure Cu strips to use as electrodes. Found Them.
