What is the warranty provided on these? Lifetime warranty?

Apparently no warranty, the spring fell out the first day of use and emails produced no response.

Where are they manufactured?

Why do people answer "I don't know?" Gotta be China and it shows. Mine got dinged up in the first two minutes of use with one hand. (I shouldn't be strong enough to damage them so badly with the strength of one hand.) Titanium? LOL, right. Coated over soft steel. These are junk.

What is titanium steel? i've been a metel worker for 40+ years never heard of such alloy. is it titanium coated steel?

Titanium is a very lightweight yet strong metal. Refer to the Wikipedia entry for titanium at wikipedia.org/wiki/Titanium. Here is a relevant excerpt on titanium nitrides used as coatings for steel in drill bits and cutting blades: Titanium nitride (TiN) is a member of a family of refractory transition metal nitrides and exhibits properties similar to both covalent compounds including; thermodynamic stability, extreme hardness, thermal/electrical conductivity, and a high melting point.30 TiN has a hardness equivalent to sapphire and carborundum (9.0 on the Mohs Scale),31 and is often used to coat cutting tools, such as drill bits.32 It is also used as a gold-colored decorative finish and as a barrier metal in semiconductor fabrication.33 Titanium carbide, which is also very hard, is found in cutting tools and coatings.34 So, presumably the usage titanium steel in the product description is simply referring to steel coated with a titanium alloy to improve hardness. Perhaps Gonicc could have used a more-detailed term although their usage is pretty mainstream. Search for "titanium drill bits" on Amazon - they are all titanium-coated steel.
