Good historical analysis
It’s a well organized book & the intermarket analysis in the context of different economic environments is particularly enlightening.

Excellent resource to understand long term trends
One of the most thorough works on inter market analysis. The book reads like a historical account of the financial markets but explaining it from an inter market perspective. It is a great resource to identify long term trends and benefit from them. The book covers events up to 2012-13 but as I read this book in early 2018, the financial market trends of the last 5 years makes so much sense in the context of the concepts revealed in the book.

Must read for any investor
For those looking at the 4 stars and wondering if it is really worth the buy I would like to offer this suggestion. This is a must read if you are an investor or trader but make sure you buy the kindle version instead of the hard copy. The reason is that the only complaints you will find about this book is the font size with the content so thorough and easy to understand that you will learn a great deal whether you are a casual investor buying indexes and mutual funds or a technical analysts who thinks they know everything there is to know about the markets. I have read countless books on investing by every top writer you can think of and I put this book in my top five since it brings everything together so well. It not only clearly shows relationships and early indicators of market shifts but also walks you through all the recent market collapses and shows you how you could have spotted them early and either exited the market before too much damage was done or profited from the short side. In summary it is not a purchase that you will regret.

Great book if you want to understand how things in the market are the way they are
This is probably not a book for professional traders but for retail investors like me it is great!I have been looking for information about the different relationships and correlations among markets for a while and this book explains precisely that in a superb way. For example, the correlations between the stock and bond markets, yields, commodities and so on, why when one goes up, some other goes down…. You won't use this information on a day-to-day basis but it really teaches you a way to know where you stand and what you can expect on the intermediate term.In some aspects though, I have missed a bit more of depth in some of the issues explained in the book, but that would probably make for another entire book, so Mr. Murphy please, maybe you could go into that in a next book?I love this book and I would really recommend it to the serious amateur investor.

Wonderful!
I read John Murphy's Intermarket Analysis two times, one time the 2004 edition and now the 2013 edition. The 2013 edition is wonderfully written. Murphy explains Intermarket Principles very clearly and there are also some questions at the end of the chapters to test your knowledge. I really recommend it, this book is better than any book about economics.
