I use this as a centerpiece, I love it because it is lightweight but durable. The kids can play with it and create new landscapes as often as they want. This has also been a great conversation piece when we have guests over.Comes with super easy to follow directions on how and when to change the water and air levels.

I bought one from another seller but I prefer this one. I didn’t have to mess with the water level or anything. But if you do have to mess with it they also give you the syringe (just be aware of that if you’re buying this for a child)Decent price too, I’ve seen other people trying to charge like $40 for a 12”.But yeah it’s def cool and fun to watch. Everyone I’ve shown this to loves it so I’m def gunna be buying more when Xmas comes around

I almost gave this item a negative review because, when I first set it up, the result didn't look anything like the pictures in the description -- there were no "mountains", just a pretty flat contour. I shook it, turned it over several times, nothing! I left it over the long weekend in my office and on my return, I noticed that the bubbles on top were fewer and larger. To my pleasant surprise, this time when I flipped it, it actually gave me mountain-like formations (see pics, click on them to zoom in). Bottom line, let it settle so that the bubbles coalesce into fewer, larger ones. When you get it, it may have a lot of tiny bubbles due to being jostled during transportation and may take a while to settle. And, this 12" unit cost about half of some 7" units out there, so it was a great bargain in my book.

Should have known better; however, bought it and then immediately gave it away to my little nephew.

I made sure to order one that provided a hypo needle. Expect to make some minor air/water adjustments upon receipt. Instructions available on YT. After that it works perfectly. Caution - when adding air/water, make sure to make small changes to start. Remove an equal amount of the other to avoid adding too much pressure inside. The needle can be used to equalize any excess pressure after the adjustment.

I purchased this for Christmas last year and my 11 year old granddaughter! She loves! Goes into herRoom and changes it all the time!

For the price it is good. No complaints. The bad reviews on it are because they seem to not understand how to adjust a Sand Painting. The Sand Painting comes with a syringe and a very sharp needle (like a diabetic needle gauge). This is to add or subtract air and water. All high-end Sand Paintings come with this as well. The more expensive ones explain why and how to use the syringe needle. The pressure in the Sand Painting needs to be adjusted to your local barometric pressure and will also need to be adjusted from time to time ~ 6-12 months or so as the water may evaporates away. Also, you should have enough bubbles to just completely cover the bottom of the sand when you flip over the Painting. If you gently turn over the Painting and let the bubbles move around to cover the sand first, then completely flit over the Painting you will have much more successful results. I added 2 ml of air and removed 4 ml of water, this seemed to be the best adjustment for me. Your results will vary depending on your Sand Painting and your location. I didn’t know if I’d like the circle design, but I is nice to be able to turn it slightly and change the final picture (of sand). Very calming and relaxingOnly thing is it has a bit too much air in it , causing the sand to move faster.
