no, these thread into a pipe adapter such as a coupling or a tee or a reducing bushing. Its for pressuring up a gas ppe line and sealing it off and watching it for say 48 hours to see if it leaks down. I hope this helps more than he last guy did. Sorry he was so rude to you.

Will these fit/work in my rockhopper forks? The thread size is 1/4", at least thats the size bolt that threads down into it

The valve thread size is 1/4 NPT, that means the I.D. of 1/4 pipe is approx 1/4" the O.D. of 1/4 NPT is like 1/2", BUT this is pipe thread not close to 1/4" bolt thread

Well you presented a question. the inside of the Scharder valve has 2 different thread sizes. the smaller allows the seal to sear. then the larger threaded section secures the valve from the top. the outside diameter of the larger thread is .198 The outside diameter of the smaller thread is .140 the outside diameter of the steam is .298 not 1/4 inch closer to 5/16 These threads are not American Standard or Metric as fare as I could determin.. I would guess they are threads only used on these air valves by Schrader. This was fun as the inspectiom took me back 50 some years to my time as an inspector for Ford. I wonder what you plan to do with this item
