Korean 100% Natural Dried Whole Shiitake Mushroom 200g / 7.05oz Grown from Oak Logs - Origin Korea 표고버섯

I paid about $22 for the bag, which is a bit more than I wanted to pay, but I wanted something NOT from china, and so my choices were limited. The bag has about 35 whole mushrooms, majority of them were undamaged, just a few small chips. So far I have only used them for soups. These aren't top of the line premium mushrooms with a ton of flavor and pattern, but they are decent for everyday cooking. They help flavor the broth and still taste mushroom-y when I eat them. The stems are woody, and takes a bit of work to chew if you're the kind who doesn't want to waste any little bit of your mushrooms. Photo attached, with double A battery on the plate for scale. I would buy again.

Good dried shitake. Decent size, rehydated well. Scent is a bit strong, but overall I'm very pleased. It's hard to find dried shitake not from the PRC that don't cost an arm and a leg.

Purchased this product last year and the product was excellent. If you looked at the half empty bag you will see the mushroom are big, whole, and no stem longer than a ¼ inch long. The bag I just received has broken mushroom caps, smaller mushroom, as well as stems 1 1/2 inches long. Really disappointed with the quality and condition they arrived in. Would send back but cannot and I would recommend looking elsewhere for shiitake mushrooms. Don’t be deceived by the picture he has posted on the website as what you get is nothing like that.
