I like shea butter. This time, I bought organic. It works well, but it has a terrible odor.

I don’t normally write reviews, but you’ve been warned. I have been purchasing this brand for well over 2 years, but they have really gone down hill. The consistency of their shea butter is no longer firm. The last one I purchased was a literal soup consistency. You can’t do anything with runny shea butter. Do yourself a favor and look at alternative brands. They might be a bit more, but their quality is much better.

Like other reviewers, I found it grainy. I scooped out the shea butter from the plastic jar it comes in and put it into a glass dish to microwave it. Just a couple minutes until it all melted. The tiny grains also melted. I added some almond extract and vanilla extract to make it smell better, then poured the liquid back into the plastic jar it came in. As it cooled, it firmed up again. Worked perfectly - no more grains! Am buying a second jar.

This works ok, but I have had some that wasn't so dry and rough to apply.

Bought to mix with my oils and make moisturizer. A little extra effort but worth it as NO CHEMICALS INVOLVED.
