Had for multiple seasons. Does the job.

I knew that this trimmer head was for sale someplace but initially had problems finding it from local retailers. Not only that but I noticed some pricing as high as $54.00 per unit. Amazon came through again, not only having the product but also charging a more reasonable price.The big deal about this trimmer head (and I've gone through a lot of different ones) is both the length of the trimmer string it holds and the ease of loading it. Buying and using smaller heads results in more frequent line changes, a more difficult process in correctly loading the head, and an improper loading can result in a broken string which causes another attempt at loading it properly.This Echo Speed-Feed maximizes my time doing all the weed whacking my 2.75 acres requires with minimal time dedicated to reloading the spool. That is especially welcoming when our summer heat and humidity reaches its normal humiture of 95+ degrees day after day. After holding the trimmer for 20 minutes and then having to sit down to reload it also gives you the opportunity to rest a bit -- but then you also have to fight your urge to stay sedentary instead of once again holding onto a 100+ degree noisy and hot gasoline engine.Echo seems to know what it's doing in developing and producing efficient lawn care tools. Noice job on this Speed-Feed!

I run a Honda 4stroke trimmer with manly torque. I replaced the stock head with the 450. I'm quite happy since it was very easy to install on my particular make and model.I also purchased a spare head cover just to have on hand as it's a part that wears with use and time.So after some use, I'm very pleased with this product and might consider buying an additional one as a spare for the shelf. I'm into having spare parts on hand in this economy and supply chain climate, 'cause you never know.It holds plenty of string and pays it out with a light tap of the head. No vibration either.

Im on Amazon to order a 450 head for a brand new SRM3020 that came with the new model 500 head and saw reviews on the 500 page but reviewers rating the 450 head! The 500 mount is recessed in the plastic mounting surface that melts as does the line then jamming constantly. My first very short use I had constant feed issues and breakages having to open the head repeatedly. I thought luckily they loaded a short line and replaced it with mine and the problem continuing. It was like I was loading it wrong and it getting tangled (actually melting together). I threw out a very large full commercial spool of line thinking it had got old but my new spool of Black Diamond gave same result today. Then I found a dealer, “Chickanic” on You-tube with a video documenting this issue from her customers and issue at that time reported to be denied by Echo. Based on personal past experience with Echo warranty being only on paper I’m just going to go back to a 450 head out of pocket and save myself frustration. I went with alternative brand my last three products from that past experience but this new SRM was in stock, and met my size need. I have used “Speed Feed” heads even on other brands and am fan, but not for their new “500.” Buyer beware!

In the package there was only one silver bushing and the gold one was installed in the head. I called echo and they sent me a green bushing for my sthill R 130. I installed the green bushing and attached to trimmer, works perfectly so far. So the only bad thing was waiting for a week and a half more for the green bushing that was supposed to be included with the 450 head.

This is a great product. I upgrade the trimmer head from my stock Echo trimmer and have found this make reloading a breeze.Removing the old head and installing this head took two minutes. There are multiple videos to show how to do this. No special tools and no adapters were needed.The string is tough and when reloading, it is a breeze. The easiest to use and best trimmer head I have ever head.Well worth the money and upgrade.

OEM Speed-Feed 450 Trimmer Head for Echo SRM-266T. Original is still working after 4 years of trimming 6 properties, just decided to buy a new head instead of replacing worn cover and eyelets, and I will keep the old head for a backup. Super fast and easy to replace line, especially when you keep a couple lengths of line cut ahead of time, no time wasted measuring line when you could be trimming.

I would buy again.
