My earlier review of this was for a different product by mistake. This product does the job though.
My earlier review of this was (by mistake) actually for an outdoor socket bought at the same time. This weatherproof box does its job nicely but the cable glands were a bit larger than I wanted and I didn't have a hole saw the right size to drill out the knockouts properly so I had to file them afterwards. Plenty of glands were supplied and I fitted extra rubber sleeves to work with the cable I used. I would have preferred 20 mm cable glands and knockouts. Maybe a 20 mm version is available but I missed this when ordering.

Does the job, would hesitate to use for something 'mission critical'.
Used to accomodate networking connectors and a POE injector INSIDE a garage. Does the job, has a decent enough seal around the lif. Would I use this outside on 240V... no. A lot of flex and the plastic seems pretty brittle (wouldn't want to test the UV stability). Absoultely fine for this use thought.

Fantastic water proof box that holds everything you need.
So I bought this because I managed to run through my caravan light and power wires. I installed this under neath the caravan and put all the wires into the box using the waterproof grommets. Very easy and simple to install with the added bonus of some chocolate boxes included. Very sturdy and Fanta quality. A small box that packs a punch in what you can fit inside. The box itself has 4 screws and seals tight agains water ingress. 100% recommend

Good value
Easy to use, good value with plenty of entry options. Glands supplied are 24mm which obviously means using a 24mm hole saw. 25mm hole saw is too big to get a decent seal on the glands. Adequate space for terminating and configuring cables.

Good in parts, could be better
This is now fitted but it could have been a better and easier job.The unit is of a good size and allowed me to easily connect all the cables (to 3 flood lights plus the incoming mains) via Wago-style connectors; these were not included. Instead a rather passé choc-box connector was supplied which simply is not good enough these days. Even Asian imports provide their version of Wago connectors nowadays. My main gripe is that the glands are not suitable for anything except very fat cable. The third photo showing a close-up of the gland (with its rubber insert) shows that even when fully tightened it was not even gripping the rather large 7.5mm diameter cable from the flood lights. It certainly was not a waterproof connection.I was expecting that the 8 included gland connectors would have different sized inserts for different diameter cables but they were all for some huge cable (think: armoured cable sized). As the position of this box is in a sheltered position, under the overhang of my workshop, I made the connections weatherproof but it was irksome to have to do so.The description of this unit states, "Multiple cable gland entry points - Perfect for outdoor wiring solutions". I disagree, given my experience of the glands. In an exposed position the upward-facing glands would leak without some further intervention. One final gripe (I'm on a roll): the way the lid is connected seemed particularly awkward. Four tiny screws that had to be centred with the screwdriver in order to go into the underlying box, and no rubber inserts for the holes to stop the ingress of water to rust them up. I would have expected a much longer, stainless steel screw. Trying to get the lid screwed up whist standing on a ladder in the freezing cold took far longer than it needed to. I've obviously been spoiled by the quarter-turn plastic, captive bolts from other manufacturers. As I said, it's fitted now but I will have to check it next year to ensure it's not leaking and possibly do something about those front cover mounting holes.Given the price I expected better.

Just what I needed.
Just the thing for containing my outside lighting transformer and step-down board for low power lighting. Grommet seals ok. Weather proof lid seal does it's job. Bit brittle so careful cutting the holes out for the wiring. Happy with purchase.

Good box for external electronic equipment
This is a good size if you want to have an external junction box that can also incorporate electronic controls, etc. The plastic glands are, however, far too big for almost any intended use and are a very odd size. Contrast the glands with the cable connector strip - which is intended for low power uses.
