Yes, Stihl also has a manufacturing plant in Qingdao, China. “Made by STIHL” is a brand promise – no matter the location of production. Each chainsaw undergoes tried-and-tested STIHL quality control and high standards. So I don't know that I can say the hand saw is made in " ". But I can tell you have 2 of these folding saws and I love them. They are used a lot and I have not had them sharpened yet. I am an extreme gardener with 2.5 acres and use nothing but Stihl equipment - chainsaw, pruners, pole saw (PP800), hand saws and a leaf blower. No, I do not work for them or own stock ;-)
