I first saw this product a few years ago at my local Costco. I liked the wood cutting board, but loved that you can put the plastic over it so it protects it while still benefiting from the sturdiness of the board. I also love how easy they plastic covers clean up and how flexible it is. Easy to chop whatever and add it to a bowl or pot. Well fast forward and this is the main cutting board we have used since then. Shelf life on this about a year- but its cost effective enough that replacing once a year is easy on the wallet. My husband uses the used ones in his workshop so we get a lot of use out of it. I have since bought one as gifts for my family members and they all love it.

I never thought I could have strong feelings about something as basic & utilitarian as a cutting board, but holy cow--this cutting board. This cutting board is the best. It shocks me when I cook in other people's kitchens and they have a pile of random assorted cutting boards instead of this one awesome product. I originally purchased two or so years ago because I was moving into a micro-studio apartment and needed to save cabinet/counter space wherever I could; I have since moved into a bigger place with substantially more storage space in the kitchen--I could stow away a dozen cutting boards if I was so inclined--but I still haven't bought another cutting board since. The bamboo board looks great on its own (I actually keep it out on the counter at all times) and is very durable, but the mats are what I really love. I've read other reviews complaining that they get damaged over time, but...hello? Isn't that the purpose of them? You're cutting stuff up on them with sharp knives. I cook very frequently and as a result yeah, the mats have some marks on them, but once you're all done and you slide the mats back into the board, does it really matter? I'm also a bit obsessive about cross-contamination, so being able to just toss the mat I used for chicken in the dishwasher and sub in a fresh-n-clean one for veggies is supreme.Bottom line: Get this cutting board. It will change your kitchen experience and probably improve your quality of life overall tbh.

This thing is great. I love the different sheets with the icons to keep track of what you use them for. It stores them and is easy to access them again. I have a small counter, so I wish I could just leave it out and let it have it's own space: but I have to lean it against the wall in between our dry rack and the wall, but that's ok. It's still so easy to pull out just a sheet if I want one, or use the whole boad with the sheet on top of it. The wood seems well crafted, thick and sturdy. There are grooves for the sheet to sit in when it's on top of the wooden board, so it doesn't slip at all. It also came with a pamphlet so you can re-order sheets: genius! I've used sheets like these in the past and they do eventually curl up if you don't store or dry them properly, but 1. It has storage so you'll keep them flat as long as you put them away and 2. These haven't curled up on me yet, although I've only had a couple months, but I'm not going to assume they will unless/until they actually do.I also like the variations and quantities of sheets. There is also 1 unmarked, grey colored one for misc. use. I like that too.

This thing is beautiful and easy to clean! I store it standing up on my counter behind the canisters, so that it does not fall, as it is pretty heavy. The plastic covers are very helpful and are pretty sturdy. They don't do well with heat so I would not wash in a dishwasher. I also recommend removing the other covers when in use as any liquid can easily run in to the storage area. I'm giving this 4 stars as I wish there was a way to keep the covers in place when I'm using them, perhaps some tabs to lock the covers in place? They tend to move about, which is annoying but definitely wouldn't keep me from purchasing another one.

Purchased this Seville classics bamboo premium wood cutting board serving tray with 7 color coded mats to use daily at the house. It is used every day to cut up something at the house. This is the second one I have purchased and I really like it. It was a good value for the price. It is made durable and sturdy.I really liked the color coded mats because you were able to know which are for what items. One shows fish, chicken, fruit, vegtables, etc. and I try to use them correctly to not cross contaminate foods. All of the mats can be put away in the tray which makes it for easy storage, and to clean up the counters.

This is a brilliant cutting board! I had been using a bamboo set that I have had for a year that was falling apart (due to my laziness in washing them properly - you can't put bamboo in the dishwasher or let it soak in water for a long time or the glue that is used to hold the thing together starts to come apart). This solves that problem wonderfully -- I can keep the cutting board out on my kitchen county (it looks quite nice) and have 6 boards I can use to cut whatever I need. Also would work nicely as a cheeseboard as pictured. In my particular circumstance - it is multifunctional and a space saver.Beware, it is quite large -- so make sure that you have the counter space for something like this, or that storage space for it. I would think that it would be kind of annoying if this was stored in a hard to reach place to have to always be pulling it out to use.

I bought the older model twice over the last 5 years or so. I cook a lot and over time, the product does wear but I would say it’s great quality, easy to clean without any lingering smells, and looks beautiful in the kitchen.The bamboo for the newer model is darker than it used to be, but I like it. The mat graphics are also colorless which I actually prefer because it’s more sleek. My mats fit the board, so no worries there. Definitely buy!
