Fantastic Watch
I had heard, read and watched a lot about the famed GA2100, the “Casioak”; and boy-o-boy yes it lives up to the hype! Yes the octagonal bezel pays homage to the AP Royal Oak, but this is so much more for oh so much less! I can easily see myself getting this in a few more colours - all black dial, black on gold, and so on. It works well as a casual watch, but also is quite tongue-in-cheek with formal wear. Setting the time and date are complicated at first but easy to master, and it’s mesmerising watching the hands zoom round the dial when setting. Definitely pick one up.

Cant go wrogn with Casio
Does what it says on the tin, good watch, pretty easy to use does more than I expected or really need. Comfy enough I'm not sure how comfy a watch can really be but it feels nice to wear.

God tier watch
The watch looks amazing and it fits really well. The watch may look big on picture but it fits perfectly on the wrist and I have a small wrist. Really good watch for everyday use as it has all the functions and it is good to use for outdoor activities

A fun watch that will survive almost anything.
Bought as a bit of fun, this G-Shock is something different from the traditional black resin designs. I went for the analogue (Casioak) dial as I now find reading digital watches hard in poor lighting. While the watch is generally legible, two things hold it back a bit:1. The hour markers are almost entirely black like the dial, with only their upper tips painted white. And, they are not lumed.2. The hands are black against a black dial, with only portions painted with white lume. The lume is mediocre at best, which is typical of Casio to be fair. So, this watch again suits my mid-50's eyes best in bright light, and is not the step up in legibility over my digital G-Shock that I was hoping for. Of course, the images on Amazon and elsewhere online were taken in bright light, so somewhat misleading of how the watch will appear on most occasions in Britain in the winter. However, there is a solution, and that is to modify the watch. I have ordered a new entirely white and Superluminova-painted hour marker/chapter ring and a set of entirely white and Superluminova-painted hands that I will replace the original parts with. It is a simple task, with some cheap tools bought from Amazon. And, if it goes disastrously wrong, the watch wasn't Rolex price to begin with.In conclusion, I like my first Casioak, but want to further improve its legibility. You may wish to get a model from Casio with better legibility from the start, and the GA-2100-1AER is a good one to consider for well under £100, but it has the black resin case. Again, you can easily switch the case of bracelet for something more colourful from aftermarket suppliers. And that would be a less fiddly modification that changing the chapter ring and hands of course!
