The Ultimate Fake Book: C Edition

There’s a curiously old fashioned thing about gathering around a piano and having a ‘sing song’ ( ... but that doesn’t mean it not fun! ) This book has a huge selection of songs that’ll be recognisable for everyone from 20 to 100. For anyone who makes a living playing in hotels etc it’d be a constantly used companion to add rep to your lists or cope with those “can you play...?” moments. It’s a well produced book, well printed and the chords are very manageable but yet really classy and richly chosen so they’ll make the musicians smile! The spine binding was always going to be challenged in such a thick book and the publishers should have done better as it began to come away after just a few uses. A false economy on their part and a shame that the binding doesn’t match the super quality of the edition etc. That said I still highly recommend this book to anyone whose been interested enough to look at it here. You’ll use it!!! 😊

A useful book for adding more obscure music to your repertoire. With an American bias!
