This is a very good deal, I don’t usually write review but this tent is sturdy, light and easy to install. Was able to take it with me out of town coz it’s light and easy to carry.

This beats my red sport umbrella hands down. Light weight easy to put up. I purchased this as used in December 2020 for $87. After looking at all the different manufacturers and prices all over the board I realized all are made of Lycra. Some have cords for the sandbags some use Lycra. So why spend $160 vs $87 or $119 (current price).Bottom line this works. We had 15 to 20 mph wind and it held up. The first day I stretched it and it-was flapping slightly in the wind. I was afraid I would rip it if I stretched it further. Next day I REALLY STRETCHED IT. And it didn’t flap in the wind. Make sure you fill the bags to the max. Even fully filled the bags will move inward when you install the poles. Grab the TOP section of the poles not the middle or the bottom to prevent breaking or bending the pole and place 1-1 1/2 ft. from the corner. Then push the poles vertical. Easy for one person to put up. I found it easier to install the bungee around the ball when the pole was chest high and then put the pole vertical.I was concerned about sun protection since you could see the clouds thru the canopy. My wife didn’t use sunscreen the entire week and got a light tan. So yes it provides sun protection.This is lighter than my red sportbrella and easily fit 6-8 people comfortably. I also measured the distance between the poles when erected. I purchased the 10x9 model and the poles were 11ft apart on the long side and 8 1/2 ft on the short side. You can also install on grass using tent stakes or concrete using bricks,rocks or anything heavy.My poles were sturdy so I don’t know how people break them. Probably holding the bottom or middle when installing. Why carry a 40 pound large bulky pop up that needs at least 2 people to set up? Did not have any rain so I cannot comment on waterproof. I know it’s not completely waterproof but how much will be revealed in future usage. Only downfall I have found. Some of my wife’s purses are larger than the carrying bag for the Umardoo! I also prefer the bungee cord design vs the all Lycra new design.I hope this review is helpful for people on the fence about purchasing one. A lot of people stopped by and asked about it, took pictures of the Umardoo logo to purchase from Amazon. You can spend a little or spend a lot for the same sun shelter. You decide. Would buy again definitely.

It provides plenty of shade and is very easy to set up. Even in a light wind it stands up well. However, the only way this stands is if you have sand/rocks/or some other form of weight to put in the bags. I thought they were there as extra support to the structure but there is no structure. It’s just a large blanket with 4 poles. Nothing supports the poles to keep them standing up. If one of the corner bags isn’t grounded properly the entire structure will come down.

Purchased for beach vacation and loved it! Will take one by beach trip from now on. Simple to set up and take down, can be done with two people. Held up to the wind. Definitely stretch it out and fill the bags full of sand, but very Easy to adjust as needed if wind picked up. Compact and easy to carry in its own storage bag. Provided ample shade from sun.

I purchased this for our beach vacation. One part broke after 1 day and one part broke after 4 days. The 30 day return window closed before I was able to use it and now that Amazon's customer service sucks, I have no recourse for resolving the issue except leaving a poor review and hoping the seller sees it. I will update the review if there is a resolutionWe used this shade 4 times on a 5 day beach trip. Day one, we could not get it set up (2 adults). Day 5, (after watching MORE videos), we got it set up (2 adults/2 kids). On the first day, 2 of the poles bent. They were usable the rest of the time, but you would expect them to not bend on the first use. Also, by day 5, the carrying case had a large rip in it where the strap attaches to the bag. Most of the time we carried into the beach on our wagon, and weren't even using the straps. When we got it up, it did work, though in high wind I would highly recommend only putting up 2 poles. $100 for a shade should last more than one trip. If I had it to do over again, I'd buy the name brand Neso one. The poles are longer, the designs are cuter, and they probably have better customer service.At this point, if the seller can replace the poles and carry bag, we'd keep this one, and give it 4 stars.
